Subject: Advice for a used 2012 X1?

I’m looking at an X1 currently at a dealership. The salesman said he made a mistake on the listing and if I don’t buy it today it’ll be $1500 more tomorrow. Is that a red flag?

There have been 4 owners since 2012.

One owner from 2012-2017

2 owners in Jul-Aug 2020

Dealer bought it Oct 2021

How much of a red flag is this? My first car was a used Mercedes and it lasted a month before breaking down, I want to be careful.

Car appeared clean on the inside/underneath. Breaks were rusty even though he said they were just changed a few months ago.

Would it be a safer route maintenance wise for me to go with a Santa Fe or Tiguan?

Subject: Recently purchased a X5 with a 10,098 miles. Is there a way to confirm the 10,000 mile maintenance happened? Outside of that why would it say the next maintenance is 11,000 miles away? Is maintenance not ever 10,000 miles?

Subject: 2016 BMW X3 - Hard Downshifting 1st/2nd gear?

Hey guys - I have a BMW x3 and its at around 105k Miles.. I've recently decided to change the Transmission fluid/filter using Lifeguard 8 (8 Liters) and a OEM Oil pan and Filter Kit.

The vehicle did not get anything else changed or any transmissions software resets.

I live in Northeast Ohio and its starting to get cold outside - this is when I noticed hard downshifts from 2nd and 1st gear. Almost like a bang that shakes the entire vehicle... Strange part is that it calms down once the vehicle warms up?

I'm kind of stuck with what I need to do moving forward, should I change the Transfer Case fluid/Differential fluid?

Should I take it to BMW and see if the Mechatronics needs updated or there is some software update that needs to be pushed out?

Any other suggestions?
