Subject: First time owner of a BMW 328XI (AWD) N52 engine So, I had this baby for over a month now, and been taking her to a high powered car wash, (the previous owner didn’t give 2 shits about taking care of the car) Ran into THIS shit after. Any clue what I should look at to get rid of these?
Thinking of going back to BMW for my next car and specifically the X5. How are the reliability on 2018 models?

Subject: Thinking of buying 2022 M340i. Any advice/input greatly appreciated.
In the market to buy a M340i for the end of the year. Looking for any advice or experience anyone has with most recent generations.
Probably just gonna pick one up off the lot. Living in MA and and local Boston dealer has a nice one that I am interested in.
Big upgrade from my current car (2011 Gallant) and I realize that the maintenance will be totally different, but I have the resources now. You don't buy a BMW cause the maintenance costs are a significant factor right?
As for buying, gonna be right at the end of the year so I can use their sales goals to my advantage. Other than that would appreciate any input or advice that folks have to offer here.

I'm a current MB leaser and have always leased because of "new car" itch and also bad experiences with MB reliability during the lease (cracked intake manifold in first year? LOL?)
I'm currently cross shopping between the GLE and X5 and MB offers 1% loyalty and 2K cash credit for returning owners. I really like the X5 as well and was wondering are the X5's better to BUY or LEASE? I really don't like dealing with maintenance headaches and BMW on paper has better reliability. On the otherhand, I suspect I will have the "new car" itch so maybe leasing is the better path for me. Anyone have experience to recommend whether:
- GLE or X5?
- Lease or buy?
Also, I get conflicting information on what negotiations can be done at BMW, it seems they are far more flexible in negotiating 10% off MSRP which seems insane to me? The X5 I'm speccing is 95k on the BMW configurator, so theoretically I could get it for 86K? The GLE max discount I can obtain would be 4 grand tops. Please advise!
Also edit:
Is the Merino Leather worth the extra bucks over Vernasca (is this the equivalent of Artico on MB?)
