Subject: Crank no start (idrive errors) no DME communication
Long story short as possible, friends DME got a little wet, car went nuts wouldn’t start, throws all kinds of errors on dash “transmission malfunction” “dbc” and others, only cranks, also NO communication with DME through OBD scanner, and with key in accessory the fuel pump primes and doesn’t stop, had the dme replaced and cloned for $800, same issue when installed, about to take it to a bmw shop in town but thought maybe someone would have a clue on here?
It all started with a valve cover gasket replacement which in turn got the dme wet.
Included video of how it’s acting.
