Subject: Help! UK - Have a 2021 X5 hybrid, how to achieve 32a charging?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi all, looking for some advice if anyone can help. I have a 2021 X5 hybrid but I’m struggling to get it to charge at more than 16 amps. For charging I’m using a mode 3 32a charging lead with a 32a pod point solo charger, but in the setting of the car I can select up to a maximum of 16a for charging…

I’ve read the manual but it’s not making things any clearer. It appears to refer to faster charging using a mode 3 cable but doesn’t elaborate…

Any help? Thanks a lot.

Subject: F80 Crank Hub

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I just recently purchased a 2018 f80 M3 with 50k miles, is the crank hub replacement necessary if I keep the car stock/drive it normally (most of the time) because it is my daily driver.

Subject: 2015 328i xDrive in the snow: Great or Terrifying?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I am considering getting my first car, and there is a good deal on a 2015 xDrive 3 series, with only 13k miles on it. My commute is easy and doesn’t have any highway involved. However, I live in New England and our winter conditions can get crazy. To any owners, is the xDrive enough for the harsh winters, or should I look elsewhere for cars that can handle winter weather? I love the gas mileage and the car itself, but it can get pricey. Thank you!

Subject: Chip Shortage

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi guys, has anyone ordering a new car for 2022 been affected by the chip shortage?

I've ordered a Z4 for arrival next June and I've just read an article that new BMWs might not have touchscreen technology and parking assistant. It's totally ludicrous to me not to have such tech in a €70k car and I wanted to know if anyone who is further along in the ordering process has been affected? I'm not sure I want to proceed if I can't get really basic features.

Thanks.
