Subject: Does bmw e9x key fob charges while the car is running ?
I bought my first BMW last month. Always wanted one, so I was stoked! 2018 X1 (F48). Only 16k miles. Purchased from BMW dealer.
I’ve only had the car a few weeks. I was driving normally, and “charging malfunction” indicator came on, and within seconds of that, “engine overheated” came on. I immediately pulled over. Car is in at the dealer now, but they are saying they can’t get to it until Monday or Tuesday.
I’m hoping whatever the issue is covered under warranty. Out of curiosity, has anyone experienced the same sequence of events with their car? Again, I was driving on normal roads about 35mph, had been driving for about 20 mins. I had no indication that anything was not running properly. Thanks guys!

Hey all, So I recently got my production number for my car. I entered into the mygarage and now I keep getting an error message saying mygarage is unavailable at this time. I have two other bmws currently and with them the mygarage was working perfectly, it seems since I added the new car in production is when the situation has arose. Anyone have this issue?

Subject: My first BMW. 🕺🥳It is a 2010 328i RWD Manual. Why did I wait. My brother in-law owned it from new. It had a small oil leak around the valve cover so I replaced it.

I’m willing to buy series 5 between 2013 and 2015 and which one would be better choice 520 or 530? We’re talking diesel only as on the second hand market petrol version doesn’t exist in Ireland, unfortunately. Would you help me?

Is this possible with 2 kids (2yr and newborn) it wouldn’t be the daily, but would see good use. Thoughts?

Subject: e39 m52b25 fuel consumption 35l / 100km HELP!!!!
Hello everyone, i don't know if i can get much help here but the fuel economy of my bmw has been bothering me very much past few months. I have a 1996 523i with an automatic transmission and my average fuel consumption is around 23 litres per 100km. Today while idling it went up to 35. Engine idles good and as far as i know there are no vacuum leaks. What could be the cause for such an extreme appetite. My guess is that maybe i have to replace all the oxygen sensors? Has anyone else had such a problem with the M52B25 engine? Thank you in advance.
