Subject: Lost my paddle function when BMW coded my new steering rack. I used e sys 3 years ago to code it. BMW not willing to put it back on. 1) is this normal for BMW to do this 2) is esys still being used to code paddles?
Very different vehicles, but looking to replace my Fiance's Mazda 3 with a new DD for both of us. I've got a Ferrari 458 for weekend canyon carving and a Raptor for long trips / adventures (doesn't fit in my work garage for DD duty). As a result don't care a ton about nimble handling or real off road/snow capability. Priorities are good ride quality, lux interior, low road/wind noise, modern tech and decent amount of power
Really like BMW's price/luxury ratio and tech layout but stuck trying to decide whether to go EV now to take advantage of solar+carpool lane+tax rebate, get one of the last V8 highway bombers, or get something in-between.

Subject: What body kit is this? It’s the front cover of the service and warranty manual from my recently purchased E39. I’ve never seen it before but it looks sick!
Subject: You always see ads saying lady driven or highway driven implying that the car has had a healthier life, how much of a toll does aggressive city driving take on a car?

Subject: 2021 BMW X7 (4 Months old) has been in the shop for 3 weeks and counting
Our Brand New 2021 u/BMW X7 broke down on our Family Thanksgiving trip 1200 miles away from where we live. u/BMW has had the car for almost 3 weeks now at the service center 1200 miles from our home and we are moving in 3 days from today. The dealership wont return out calls, BMW roadside assistance tells us to Call u/BMW customer relations, Customer relations tells us to Call the dealership.
We received an email saying that BMW would "consider" reimbursing us once the car is "fixed" to the tune of $44.00/day. They have said they will consider reimbursing us for additional costs but no guarantee. Since we have no estimated time on when the car will be ready, now do we know what exactly is wrong with it, nor will anybody give us additional information, we're not sure what to do.
What would you do?
