Subject: Going with my Dad to look at a 2008 Z4 M Roadster tomorrow. Anything I should be aware of? I know that the S54 had a lot of its issues sorted out by this iteration (aside from the VANOS bolt issue). Recent work looks like fuel pump, brakes, coolant flush, and rear shock mounts.

Subject: Tips on buying an M2 vs M2C vs M2CS F87
I recently got a 2017 M2. I never realized in the process just how toxic most M2 owners and enthusiasts truly are. I bought it over the M2C strictly on the fact that is cheaper overall to maintain long term and performance wise, its really not as big of a gap as everyone wants to believe. I find it funny how much people want to be known as an M2 Lci owner, or a M2 Competition owner. Its pretty sad. At the end of the day anyone who is fortunate enough to have any M car is an M owner. Even the people who refuse to believe the M2 Og is not a true M car. What makes it one is the spirit of it. So if you are in the market to buy, do yourself a favor and don't buy into getting an M car based on status. Get one that you like because it feels right to you. I can't tell you how many people I have seen go from an Og m2 to a Competition or even an M3 or M4 just because they think its not fast enough, or even get rid of it just because its not a competition or cs, thats a pathetic attitude. With the difference you save getting an Og M if you are in the market for one, you can make it damn near close enough to be able to even tell the difference. Buy what you like, not the hype.
Subject: Difference between cheap, medium and high quality brake pads
I've been chatting with the car garage about replacing my rear brake pads and they said that there are different prices for each category of brakes; cheap, medium and high quality.
I'm a normal F20 116d driver, I don't race or anything and want to have something that does the job and last for a long time.
I can't remember the brands, but on carparts4less UK website, I see: Eicher (£37.29), Textar (£52.50), Pagid (£53.59), Brembo (£59.32), Bosch (£64.65) and ATE (£72.16).
How to chose the right brand? are there commonly known facts about any of the above? (wear rapidly, brake dust on the rim, ...)
Subject: Understanding the BMW F20 Servicing statuses
I need your help to correctly understand information in the onboard computer -> My Vehicle -> Vehicle Status:
- Engine Oil: in 14000 mi, 02/2022: is this whichever it reached first? is the "14000 mi" value constantly updated/reduced until it hits 0?
- Vehicle inspection: 03/2022. Since the car has 33000 miles, what should this inspection cover?
- Brake Fluid: 03/2023. Since I've already replaced my front brakes, and will do the same for the rear ones in 2 months, shall I also change this one before the stated date?
- Rear Brake Pads in 15000 mi, is this an approximate distance? because visually, they are very close to the limit, but the sensors still haven't broke yet.
Thanks for your help
