Subject: E60 m5! The owner was so passionate about this. The way he talked about it makes me happy this well sorted m5 will live on with him. He even asked me if i wanted a rev vid! I’ll post that later lol I’m in shock! My fav bmw!
Subject: Got a manual X5 and fixed it up just in time for winter! What a car!
Subject: What are your go to codind changes you do with your ///M? Have done a lot already, just wonder if I missed some potencial. Bimmercode obviously.
Subject: How do you manage or deal with snarky comments from other people about your BMWs? It's never bothered me until recently and just wondering if I'm in the minority.
I've owned three BMWs now and number three is technically for my wife. It's an '05 E53 X5 with the V8 (a bit of a red flag I guess). Her family has always owned Toyotas and Hyundais, so they sort of made some off-handed remarks about us getting a 15-year-old BMW for her.
For the first 8 months of ownership, it was rock-solid, but in the last couple of months, it's started to have some little things pop up (axle boots, bushings, alternator, lock cylinder which sucked because it was a three-week wait for the part but I digress). I manage to take care of the majority by myself and FCP Euro, but sometimes it's worth saving the headache and having my Indy do the job. I guess having owned BMWs in the past, I know they can be temperamental and what to expect in terms of running costs and issues.
Anyways, the comments from my wife's family about how brutal the X5 has been are starting to get on my nerves and I don't really know how to respond in kind. Typically, comments from other people don't bother me in the slightest and I can take some light ribbing, but the unwanted financial advice and serious judgment are starting to get old, especially after a long week with them for the holidays while the SUV was in the shop. Maybe it's the way they rub the Sienna in my face...
I know I might be taking it too personally, but I'm just wondering how you deal with the comments made by others because German cars as a whole have the "stupidly expensive" stereotype attached.

Subject: Can anyone identify what leather this is? The car is a 325i e92 preface-lift model. I found the Brochure of the car but nothing fits this color so I suspect it's from another model.
Subject: Keep the stock M405s or throw on some Apex like everyone else?🤔
