Subject: Expensive to maintain old BMW?

My family’s 330d e92 (2012) is being passed down to me for a heavily discounted price (10,500 AUD). However, I am deterred by the high maintenance costs that will come with owning this car. So Instead, I am potentially looking at a 3 series 318i sport e46 (2004) which has done 163,000 KM at around the same price. But I am also wondering whether this will be as costly to maintain given its age and mileage. In your opinion, what will be cheaper to maintain?

Subject: Leased BMW modifications

I started leasing a BMW a while ago and really do enjoy it, however I just want it to be louder. Am I allowed to do a muffler/resonator delete without voiding my warranty? I have seen a few people ask questions similar to this but never get a straight up answer. I know people are going to tell me to just buy a new exhaust, but I can’t find any that are even somewhat loud and really don’t know what to look for as I am new to this. If anyone is able to help out in anyway I’d really appreciate it.
