Subject: First BMW, looking to buy a 2011 3 series (UK)
Hi all, as the title says i'm looking to buy my first BMW and have my eyes on a 2011 3 series 318i M-Sport. It's done 65k miles and looks to have a full service history and good MOT history but I'm after some advice for what to typically look out for when going to test drive it. What common faults might I miss, etc?

Subject: Looking to keep the exhaust always open, how hard is this to do yourself?
Subject: Literally just want to say that I appreciate all of you guys
The title says it all. I picked up a 340i and with 0 knowledge of how bmw cars perform I was freaking out when things seemed odd to me. Every single thing I have posted thus far for answers has come back exactly what I needed. So I gotta say thank you guys. The mazda page was absolutely awful and dont even get me strated on the RAM reddit page lmao. Since I've picked up this car, all of my questions have been answered and the amount of knowledge I received in the last week... you should might as well call me morpheus.
Thanks again guys, you all rock. Love driving the streets and seeing fellow bmer drivers on the road, it's like one big toretto family!!!

My car is a 2014 BMW F10 LCI 520d (Non M Sport) with 18" 452 Turbine Style Wheels.Due to the road conditions here in India, my alloys are badly bent and can't be repaired. I have the option of swapping to the 613 M Alloy Wheels which came as standard fitment on the 530d M Sport LCI.I'm not sure whether there is a difference in suspension components of the non M Sport and the M Sport which could potentially pose a problem later on.
Difference in offsets :
Current Wheels (452)
Offset - 18x8J ET30
Wheels I'm looking at (613 M)
Offset - 18x8J ET30 (Front)
18x9J ET44 (Rear)
Can I safely do this swap? Any other things I should keep in mind?

Subject: New to this forum, enjoy my “reliable” hoopty lol 05 330xi full bolt on, OEM + simple street setup 120k miles, perfect condition except for a slight tear in my drivers seat.
Got a call that my 2022 X3 was ready for pickup! Great! I couldn’t make it at 3 today, but I could make it at 530. The sales rep said he couldn’t do it because he leaves at 5. I ask if someone else can just have me sign (I financed elsewhere), should be quick… I get a no, and he is out tomorrow, so not tomorrow either.
He can “squeeze” me in for 30 minutes on Saturday morning, only if I show up exactly at 930. This is my first BMW, but never been treated like I didn’t matter by a dealership.
Anyone else get that from a BMW dealer or is it just the one near me?

Subject: This was a dream come true for me. Owner is the GOAT.
Hi fellow drivers - I’m one of the only fans of the 640iGT, and mine was totaled yesterday when someone blew a stop sign and t boned me. I’m considering an X6 or trying to import a 640iGT from Europe. Can anyone share experiences either with an X6 or importing a BMW to the US? Thanks!

I bought a 02 325i in October, and I had no issues until recently. I started stalling when coming to full stops, or when I drive my car first thing in the morning. It’s automatic.
I replaced every hose you can think of. I replace the maf sensor and idle control valve.
It drives better with then maf sensor unplugged. But I have had 3 maf sensors, all gave the same issue.
Could it be the o2 sensors ? I haven’t changed those yet and don’t know if I should even bother.
Someone help, thank you lol.

Subject: Would 2023 330e be eligible for phev federal tax credit?
I am about to factory order 2022 330e, dealer said I will be eligible for federal tax credit. However, I recently heard that 3 series will get a facelift and will get new headlight design and id8 dashboard screen.
I don't mind waiting several months more if the new model will be eligible for the tax credit.
Thank you
