If any M340i owners want a quick and dirty method to always have your exhaust valve open.

Chuck the car in sport mode, and stand behind it until you hear the valve flip open - it takes around 30-60 seconds.

Open your boot, remove the panel on the right hand side, remove fuse F203 7.5a (this controls the valve) and put it in F279 (F279 is a spare slot, it doesn’t do anything it’s just a safe place to put it).

Congratulations, your valve will now stay open. This doesn’t throw any errors and is safer than the other method of unplugging the wire attached to the valve as the male and female ports could get damaged even if wrapped in electrical tape. It’s also cheaper and safer than messing with BimmerCode.
