Subject: 2018 M5–>2021M5C. Made a move a few days ago. Could have been a bad decision but it’s done. The 2018 had all the features (except competition, night driving and moonroof) but the 2021 only has the exec package and of course it’s a competition. Anyone else make a similar jump non comp to a comp?
First the front grille design nightmare and now subscription heated seats. What is going on? BMW used to be the brand of the ultimate driving machine that made beautiful cars. The F30 is one of the most beautifully designed cars imo. Now, they are making some really questionable design choices and nickle and diming their customers that are already buying their expensive cars.
Sure if you are selling a $10,000 car and adding subscriptions to add features because the car is so cheap to start with, I can almost see that, but these are $50k+ cars they are doing this to.
It feels like BMW is just intentionally spiking their brand reputation. What are your thoughts?
