Is anyone else having this problem? Starting a couple of months ago, my 2021 X1 is refusing to run CarPlay about 30% of the times I start my car. Forcing airplay connect returns an error. I have to shut my car down for a while to have a chance for it to work again. Do I need a idrive update or is this a 15.5 problem?

So, a little backstory. I previously had a 2020 3 series that I loved. But, we choose to lease it and in the first year we knew that we would be having some very hefty mileage overage fees. This was right when used car prices were skyrocketing and long story short we sold our lease to CarMax with almost nothing being owed. Hearing all this Tesla “hype” we choose to go with a Model 3 LR for about $57,000 out the door and a 1.5 month wait. I can say electric drivetrain… awesome…. Tesla quality absolutely horrendous in every way possible. Build quality for me is a major selling point and OMG is the Model 3 horrible. Never ending rattles. You find one rattle, solve it another one pops up the next day. Trunk was totally misaligned and 50% of the time it didn’t actually shut properly enough to latch closed…. The back seats had a manufacturing defect that caused them to rattle constantly if they weren’t folded down (Tesla had not yet found the fix to this issue so they basically said you’ll have to deal with it). Eventually it drove me crazy enough to sell the Tesla after 5,500 miles for a slight profit (Because of the used car market and how backlogged Tesla is with delivering cars). Now after 2 months in my 2022 4 series GC I can say with confidence this is my favorite car I’ve ever owned. No build quality issues what so ever and I have zero regrets!
