Curious to find out the general consensus on the durability of the Super NT. I love my console and have had no issues so far, however I've seen a few posts from people complaining about random hardware failures and HDMI issues. Is it generally considered a reliable, well built console? I'd like to think I'll still be playing it in 30 years time just like my original SNES, which still works flawlessly to this day. From a hardware perspective I'd imagine capacitors are the only potential issue?

Subject: Having a hard time debating between if the AVS or NT Mini has a more accurate picture.
Found this & it helped a little but then it makes me wonder if I need interpolation or not. Because the AVS is the only one of the two with interpolation. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
"Bunnyboy chose 720p as his resolution because his FPGA did not have the logic elements to support 1080p. A NES outputs 240 scanlines and the 720p resolution gives an even multiplier of 3. 1080p gives an even multiplier of 4 with top and bottom borders or uneven multiplier of 4.5x, which means that half the scanlines are repeated four times and half the scanlines are repeated five times.
Unlike the AVS, Nt or the High-Def NES mod, the Nt mini will support a 5x vertical multiplier, which will crop graphics vertically on the top and bottom by 12 pixels on a 1080p screen. In other words, you will see a centered 256x216 image scaled to 1280x1080. This will eliminate the top and bottom borders and ensure that every scanline is scaled to the same width. However, at this resolution, the pixels still have a square 1:1 pixel aspect ratio, whereas on a true NES through its video output, they have an 8:7 PAR. You can use the horizontal stretching capabilities of the Nt mini to get to 1536x1080, or a 6:5 PAR. This ensures that every horizontal pixel is of the same width as well as height and should eliminate any ugly shimmering artifacts from games like Contra which show them when the screen is scaled with non-even pixels. 6:5 means that every pixel is 1.2x wider than taller, which is very close to the ideal 8:7 ratio, which gives pixels that are 1.14 wider than taller. The AVS can evenly scale to 1024x720, which gives a PAR of 4:3, or pixels that are 1.33 wider than taller."

I've followed the directions, a couple times now, but RetroSpy can't seem to "connect".. I get a Windows 10 error.
IP address is correct.. my router can see the MiSter and I've tried it using wifi and ethernet..it doesn't give me anything else to go on.
Trying to get it to work on a SNES Buffalo Classic controller. Not sure what to do to even attempt to get this to work.

So MT32-Pi says it works with a RPi 3B or higher. If that's the only thing I'm planning of using a Pi for, is there any reason I might want to grab a Pi 4 instead, or would that just be money spent for no gain?

The 8bitdo wireless felt really good (when I tried it a year ago) but they are completely out of stock. I'm a picky type, when I bought older consoles I would target systems with barely used or unused controllers. So if it's an OEM it has to be brand new which is expensive and rare. So what are some other good 3rd party options? (wired or wireless really).

I am considering getting a MiSTER setup mainly for Amiga emulation. I’m hoping to pick up where I left off when my accelerated a1200hd died in the late 1990s.
So if I get one of the preconfigured ones that come ready made (sorry I don’t trust myself with tech beyond putting an HD in my Amiga), would I be able to install and run Workbench 3.1 and install software like Lightwave and the like? I have the adfs sitting on a USB drive for my Gotek. I guess what I’m asking is, could I just run games from rom files or really recreate my HD installed system (well the experience, not literally all te software of course). And is that hard to do?

Ill try to better explain my question with the end goal scenario
Goal: Start a few GBA games on MiSTer, move saves over to (assumption) jailbroken Pocket and pick them up there in Oct.
This could be done today in theory with SNES saves moved over to jailbroken SuperNT, is that possible?
I assume if it works with SNES, should work with GBA.

Ok, I know that real-time cart reading won't work on MiSTer, as there's not enough expansion headers from my understanding. On the other hand, how difficult would it be to create something which could:
- Connect cart dumper via USB
- Dump the cartridge ROM + Sav file into MiSTer RAM (or a temp file on microSD)
- Update/backup Sav file to/from the cart using MiSTer menu.
Yes, I get that it defeats the purpose of using carts, but in real world application, this sort of feature is much more useful than most people realize. How many times have you wanted to pick up your Pokemon cart and continue from where you saved it on the MiSTer? I believe something like the Joey-Joebag or the open source GBxCart RW is more than feasable for this type of solution.
