I'm interested in playing games from the early 80's. A 486 would be far too fast for most of those games. What options exist for playing super old dos games? Thanks

I am looking for a case for a MiSTer build that has the DE10, analog IO and the BlisSTer. I have come across these two:
https://misterfpga.co.uk/product/blisster-mister-case/
https://ultimatemister.com/product/ultimate-blisster-case-rev-2/
Are there any other options out there? I am in the USA and I was hoping to find one here if I could.

Hi,
maybe someone can help me with this. I have set up the Archimedes core and it works so far with floppy images. Now I am trying to set up a hard drive like it is described here:
https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Archie_MiSTer
After following all steps I can see the HDD in the desktop as IDE:4 but in the context menu the format option is greyed out. I also tried the steps of this manual http://chrisacorns.computinghistory.org.uk/docs/RiscDevelopments/RiscDev_IDEHDSystem_UG.pdf page 13 and following. On both of my original Archimedes (A440 and A3010) it works.
Any ideas?

I was wondering if anyone knew the versions/builds used for say EVO. A good example is there are two asia/japan cores listed in my set. It would be nice to know I was playing the 'definitive' versions.
Thanks for any help with this, thank god for fpga its been a great diversion in these trying times.
Thanks in advance :)

I've modified the beige plastic chassis from a late 1980s Macintosh SE with plastic inserts, port extenders, and some soldering, such that I have a MiSTer and some other hardware inside of it and am still able operate the equipment, plug in the peripherals I need, etc. without opening the chassis.
It's going well and I'm excited to share, but one of my last steps is figuring out whether to mount a 15khz or a 31khz CRT in it. It's an all in one chassis with space for an 8.5" screen (standard size of what were usually billed as 9" TVs and PVMs) and I've got two eBay listings I'm torn between (both color, despite the SE being black and white originally). I've mounted a DB15 switcher inside so I can plug in an external CRT if need be. ...Although at the moment I don't have one.
Anyway: I play more console games on my MiSTer than old PC software, which makes me feel like I should just mount a 15khz screen and plug in a 31khz monitor if I ever get one. But on the other hand the fact that its an old computer chassis makes me want to mount a 31khz screen, which would also allow me the use of a bunch of arcade cores, and if I understand correctly I could always throw a programmable analog scanline generator in the chain, wire that to a custom button on the front of the chassis, and engage it when playing 15khz games in line doubled mode for something close to the 15khz look.
Thoughts?
