If so, does it work with all the buttons, or work at all?

![]() | I have developed a device that will allow us to enjoy the MiSTer playing with its RGB output to make interesting combinations of monochrome screens, regardless of the core used, in addition to the common ones of old Green, Amber and B&W monitors: It is Open Hardware although I will have units available in my Tindie shop, fully assembled and with 3D case, ready to go. It has three modes of operation:
Below you can see a great presentation video carried out by Invertigo, YouTube allows you to activate subtitles and translate them into English without problems, which is more than acceptable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CNlS003b6o The magnificent design of the 3D case is the work of Agustín Gallego, who, as with MonochromeVGA, I must congratulate him on this great work. The device is fully assembled and by default the 3D case of the following measures is included: 14,1 x 7,9 x 3,5 cms. Although it is recommended, the possibility of dispensing with it is also offered, with a discount of $ 25 if chosen for that option. Although not mentioned in the video, with some RGB combinations in color mode it is also possible to make interesting palette changes in certain games and retro systems: I hope you like it. Subject: MiSTer FPGA - Neo Geo Core Artifacts \ Glitches
![]() | I'm just using MiSTer for the first time so I haven't had a chance to try other cores but the Neo Geo core is exhibiting very odd vertical line artifacts. It almost seems like the pixels are transparent within those streaks. I've tried a handful of games, including ones that require 128 MB RAM ( which I have) and so far i'm not seeing any kind of pattern. I'm hoping it's not the corrupt RAM issue. I'm using the Dark Soft Pack if that helps. Note : Not all games were doing this. Metal Slug 4 seemed artifact free in the 5 min I played it. [link] [comments] |
Anyone having problems running this core with the latest jotego cps1 core? I am juts getting a grey screen when loading. I deleted the Street Fighter (US, set 1).mra from /_Arcade/cores and sf.zip from my /games/mame and the successful last run and ran update and had update_all.sh redownloaded everything but I'm still getting a gray screen. The other SF2 cores are fine.

Like the title says i lost my job and for a crappy reason. I spilled the beans on my lead supervisor at FedEx Ground for dropping a PS5 off at a vacant house and having his wife pull around in her personal car and grab it. I reported it and wouldn't you believe it he's the one who fired me for slander he says. I don't have proof because I was off duty seen a fellow driver and followed them from afar and was gonna surprise them, seen what happened thought it was wrong and now I'm jobless. No worries because I start another job that pays better but starts January 11th! Long story short I've almost sold all of my SNES collection, very heavy hitters in my opinion, almost all of my GBA games, and alot of my Genesis games. I have a Super NT and Mega SG from Analogue and a retro USB avs. I sold my GBA player yesterday so I can't play any of the gba games I have left. I just figured out how to jail break both my Analogue consoles. My question to the community, if allowed, is where a good place to get a full rom list not individual games and is there any way I can get GBA games in snes rom format to play on my super nt? If this isn't allowed please remove. I sold everything to pay bills and get my 4 kids Christmas presents and right now jailbreaking these systems are the only way I can play my games again until I start working again. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!! I also hope everybody had an awesome Christmas.

I’ve been slowly talking myself into getting into the Mister, but when it comes to software/electronics I’m not too handy. I know mister addons sells fully built units for $420 with a case or $335 without one. Thing is, that’s a decent chunk of money (to me). Is there a second hand market for used Misters that might sell for cheaper?

Anyone used these with MiSTer?
Obviously a cheap option, but the number of buttons could be useful. Reviews seem to suggest it’s “ok” and a lot less that the SEGA Arcade City

So, this christmas my mom looked at my "stuff to buy myself" list and gifted me with a SDRAM module for the DE10-Nano. Since I had the SDRAM module, I decided that i might as well buy myself the actual board so I could set up a MiSTeR and get my hand in the game. I am excited to see what I can do with the unit, particularly using the 486 core and the early computing stuff. It'll be nice to jump back in to being a kid again and see how bad my memory has gotten.
Anyway, I found this subreddit and figured I'd ask you fine folks what sort of projects YOU like to use your FPGA boards for. It's such a flexible hardware solution. I know the answer (particularly on a "fpga gaming" subreddit) is going to be "gaming", but what sorts of gaming? Are you using it to experience stuff you didn't get a chance to, or are you using it to relive old memories? That sort of thing.
As for me, I'm excited to have my old computers and consoles back. My fiancée never had games or computers growing up and I would love to be able to give him a tour of my technological history. It looks like there's a core for pretty much every computer and console I had growing up as well as a few of my favorite arcade games.
Anyway, sorry for the long blathering post and I hope you all enjoy the coming new year!

I have recently set up a MISTer and have questions on the Arcade implementation. How extensive is the MAME list of working roms on MISTer at this point? I have in my '/media/fat/_Arcade' folder 2 folders: /_Unofficial and /cores. In the /_Unofficial folder are 3 folders: /_CPS1, /_CPS15, and _Jotego. I have not tried all of the games, but the ones I have tried do work (with 1 or 2 having upside down video). Also, there are 22 *.rbf files in the /cores folder.
My question is, isn't there more arcade games that should be available? I am using the RetroDriven Update Updater_RetroDriven_MAME_SE.sh MISTerMAME script. Are there other scripts, or methods, to get a more complete MAME rom set? Thanks!
