I'll totally make that domain and create that e-mail address for you if you'll promise to use it exclusively as your primary e-mail address!

I'd host a mail server for that in a second! :D

How about Dave@TheCaucasians.com?

I'm willing to work with you, here.

Agreed, and well stated.  *We* know what it means, and agree that it makes a point, but this is the exact same reason I'm hesitant to condone The Sanitarium and Uncensored being advertised in the same piece.

I understand, and this is why there is no pressure.

Frankly, I believe we've been to conciliatory to allowing the Left to change and warp the meaning of words - and it has been going on for decades. I think it started way back when an alcoholic became someone who occasionally stops at the local on the way home and one beer turns into 5 and he shows up sloppy drunk at midnight and is late for work the next day - as opposed to someone who has bottles hidden at his office, in the parking lot, in his garage - and will have the DTs if he doesn't keep his BAC elevated. They start with the things that are easy to not have sympathy for... drunks, smokers, pedophiles - and pretty soon, we're all drunks irresponsibly ruining our lungs and expecting other people to pay for our healthcare and it doesn't matter because we're all misogynists who promote the rape culture in our daily activities.

Now the only kind of hate that is allowed is the hate of hate - and the hate you are allowed to hate is the hate they tell you is wrong.

You go from saying, "yeah, I guess alcoholism is a broader disease than we thought," to being afraid to be associated with a BBS with a heavy-metal/punk rock theme with a heavy-metal/punk rock themed domain name.

But - it is OK... I'm the one volunteering to be the martyr - Nobody else should put themselves on the sacrificial pyre if they don't want to. ;)

Also, in the context of "punk-rock" ethos - I've been thinking about how completely neutered our society is. I can't *stand* the modern punks, who are overwhelmingly party-line Democrats who believe that words can be violence and that you have to be inclusive and open and tolerant and self-aware of your privilege.

The Sex Pistols, the Ramones, the Clash - The Dead Kennedys, the Circle Jerks and the Butthole Surfers would ALL be problematic in today's punk scene.

Even punks are afraid of being offensive, rude, uncaring. No amount of discussion can make them understand why so many 70s and 80s punks adopted things like the Swastika. You can't make them understand being intentionally shocking to the sensibilities of society. They're fucking hippies.

Punk *is* dead. But, so is society.

Ig - would you be less nervous about the BBS being associated with Uncensored if it was branded "The Sanitarium BBS"?

I mean, I could even look at if there was a domain available that works with that. tsbbs.com or The SanitariumBBS.com or whatever, and point those records here.

But - wallofhate.com would still resolve here too. I plan on doing things with wallofhate - and this will always be part of the wallofhate network... but I could certainly make it also have a standalone route that was technically separate from that.

Would make certificates a hassle. But, they already are - so...

One more thing I'd point. The moderate, restrained, respectful, traditional way - that is the way of McCain and Romney and even Dan Crenshaw. It encourages reconciliation, and conciliatory compromise, and this idea that we can negotiate and that our opponents are moderate and reasonable.

The WallOfHate way is abrasive, and non-negotiable, and unwilling to compromise, and admits that one way is inherently broken and that the other way, if we would just get people willing to give it a try, will clearly and rapidly prove itself a superior way of doing things. It doesn't sugar-coat the realities, it doesn't worry about sounding like a raving lunatic. It believes in itself as superior. It was in practice daily for the last 4 years - and it delivered more of what it promised than any other approach in the last 40 years. It didn't cause the hatred and vitriol and violence and anger. Those things were always there, and the only way to keep them contained was by appeasement.

And it had a groundswell of popular support. People responded to it because someone said, "these are the problems, no one will admit to them, and if we continue to deny them, they will only get worse - but if we confront them head-on, no matter how painful, that is the only chance we have of improving things."

Tucker Carson, Rush Limbaugh - the people who say outrageous things that they're allegedly not supposed to say - those are the ones who make a difference.

You've got to walk a fine line - you can't go Alex Jones. I get that. More importantly, you can occasionally cross the line as long as you're mostly reasonable and rational. Part of Trump's problem was that he crossed that line too far, too often, even for his own credibility and good will.

So - this *is* something that I've thought about. One of the graphics I'm working on is "Hate Hippies," and it has a famous picture of the Kent State shooting as the graphic. I am aware it is way over the line - and in fact - Urban Outfitters faced great public backlash for a similar Kent State allusion in their product line. The fact is - it is art, and it should be shocking, it should make you feel comfortable, it should say things that aren't allowed to be said. The Left celebrates art like this when the message is something they agree with. Use art to say something they find offensive, and they sound like the Religious Right protesting public moneys used on an exhibit where a crucifix is in a jar of urine.

If you want attention, if you want growth, and you want to make a difference - you've got to embrace the idea of "no balls, no glory," at some point. Good things happening require commensurate risks to be taken. That doesn't mean you should take uncalculated risks. The playing field *has* changed since I registered the domain name, and so have the risks. I'd love to engage in a dialog with outside perspectives I trust in re-evaluating those risks. Maybe WallofHate is the end goal, but it is premature to come out of the gate with it *right* now. But, maybe there is NO better time than right now and the rewards will go to those who are willing to take on the risk of moving forward with that.

It is something I'd hope the users of this board would take some time to consider and respond with their feedback on. I'm open to all ideas on the topic.

This isn't about really fighting - or offending. This is really about being honest. We're being told things. That anyone who occasionally drinks until drunk is probably an alcoholic. That 2nd hand smoke is worse than 1st hand smoke, that critical race theory is factual. That the science on global warming means that it is settled and irrefutable that only socialist policies can prevent the issues from getting worse. That Critical Race theory is true, and that we have to silence opinions that disagree with the left to reverse those injustices.

And all to often, we go along quietly - we allow ourselves to be berated into - if not agreement, at least silence on those lies.

And each lie should make us less trusting of the next claim, and that does not happen.

I always use the "2nd Hand Smoke Does Not Cause Cancer," argument because it is one of the most widely spread, most non-partisan accepted lies perpetuated on us by Government, by the American Cancer Association - by authoritative experts on the issue.

They've got people in the field *admitting* that they *lied* for what they believed was the greater social good, in that article.

And that is the root problem. The blog today revolves around that concept, of people thinking they're smarter, better educated, better reasoned, and obligated to take care of those who are less capable. They lie because they think society is not smart enough to understand and respond rationally to the truth.

And we should HATE that. We should advertise our hate for that. We should be OFFENSIVE in our response to that. The Sex Pistols had a huge impact on society in the late 70s because they refused to behave the way society wanted them to.

And that is the ONLY reason they got noticed. Not because they were comic, or they were epic talents. That was always a punk ethos. To challenge authority to the point of being banned, of being persecuted. They're going to silence you if you aren't saying what you want, regardless of if you're polite or rude to them.

But no one is going to notice that you were silenced if you were being polite. That isn't how society works. No one notices you if you're being pleasant.

But look at Trump. The WORLD noticed Trump. Because he wasn't being nice. He wasn't being polite. He was, in fact, the most Punk Rock president *ever*.

And he won't be forgotten, regardless of how his legacy is painted. But Jordan Petersen? He already is slipping into something like obscurity.

I think shock value is important if we want to get heard. If we want people to pay attention. To be champions of free speech and liberty, we have to push for the limits of those things.

Otherwise, we're just part of the problem. Just more well-behaved cucks doing what we're told.

I understand. I'm done with my career. I mean, I'm only interested in working on my terms - and they're not very negotiable for a guy who has been out of the industry for about 7 years. But I've got a level of comfort that affords that - one that not everyone has. We'll see if it survives the coming onslaught - but that wouldn't be different if I did or didn't have a career. If they're going to go after my meal ticket, I'd be fucked either way.

So, it is kind of selfish of me to even put you on the spot - but really, I was just thinking out loud - and I think it is a good "academic" discussion to have about what I'm doing here - for you guys as much as for me. We've got to make sure not to let anything happen here that would prove what they think. We've got to be careful about anything that could be twisted into supporting insurgencies or white nationalism or any of that shit they *want* to put on us.

We've got to keep the "WallOfHate" part ironic - that this is a MUCH friendlier place than Facebook or Twitter - and that you can HAVE your opinion - the only thing you might encounter is that it is an *unpopular* one - but we'll still defend their right to have *the opinion*. It is forcing the opinion on others that we disagree with.

And, I'm playing around with just changing it to TheSanitariumBBS or TSBBS.COM or something like that. I'm not sure. I can always keep WallofHate in my back pocket - or, I've got enough IP addresses to run both...  and then we can BOTH distance ourselves from WallOfHate. You know, like the DNC distances itself from AntiFa. ;)

I'm also a huge fan of what you've done, and what you're doing. I feel guilty about not spending more time on contributing to getting you where you want to be. I absolutely believe in my hype about Citadel being the alternative - about a thousand Pi's running a thousand BBSes and as soon as one gets taken down, a dozen more pop up in its place in protest.

Right now, I'm geeking out on a $600 new Old Amiga, though. So...

:D

You don't even need multiple IP addresses.  If you have both domains pointing to the same IP address you just get a SAN certificate with all possible names in it.  No problem.

It's too bad that there are limits to how far you can go with an ironic joke.  I once floated the idea that I wanted to change my official title to "racist".  Only a few people got the idea that it was an ironic thing meant to criticize the hypocrites who paint anything they don't like as racism even if it isn't even remotely related to race.  The rest just shrieked in horror at the idea.   It's the same with the ironic use of "Wall of Hate".

So... just a note - I don't see the option to <R>ely to messages in the text client. I think this is maybe because I have it in original Citadel format where it just dumps a page of text at a time with <M>ore between those pages, but with no break between individual messages. Also, I feel more concise and less likely to ramble on in a text client than the web client.

So - the problem with having both domains point to the single BBS is outsiders could still link you directly to "WallofHate". "TSBBS.com" IS wallofhate - they both resolve to the same server. Now, if TSBBS.com is this, and WallofHate is something else - then you could go, "They're hosted on the same network, but they're unique, individual sites."

It gives you more plausible deniability if someone tries to make a stink. But I *am* OK with having both point to this site, too.

It is true that if you get a SAN certificate, anyone who connects to the site will be able to see the names of every DN on the certificate. If you're worried about that then you would need to run two SSL instances on two different IP addresses. As you correctly pointed out, though, you have a few IP addresses to spare.

I'm still tossing this one around. I've been caught up with the V4. Cool toy. Frustrating, though.

It has a Mac Classic emulator that emulates OS 8.1. I managed to hose that in about 15 minutes. Restoring from another image is taking me way longer than it should. The number one reason is because the SD card slot is hard to see and between the power and the HDMI connectors, and if you miss the slow, it will actually slide into the gap between the slot and the case. That required opening the case to get the SD card out this time.

It is the worst thing about the V4 so far, design wise.

PD: "But, maybe there is NO better time than right now and the rewards will go to those who are willing to take on the risk of moving forward with that. "

Michael Malice is cashing in on the timing enormously right now. He's writing a book called The White Pill about how the establishment is scrambling like they haven't had to since the 60s and we have every reason to believe the best future will grow out of its gigantic corpse. I'm very much looking forward to it. He uses the term "The Cathedral" to refer to the government-media complex. Eric Weinstein refers to their narrative as the GIN: Gated Institutional Narrative. There are a lot of rule breakers on the left, right, and dangling far below the political compass test. You do have to look for them, but they're all talking with each other more and more.

TheDave: I've already had decent success in convincing people I know to become anarchists.

Can confirm. I may be among that number. I've heard and experienced that the difference between a minarchist and an anarchist is six months. It's usually a joke. In my case it was only a poor estimate. I guess it took three years. Amusingly, I'm actually TOO open-minded to have settled on it, wanting to explore more options.

PD: "They've got people in the field *admitting* that they *lied* for what they believed was the greater social good, in that article."

My county finally stopped recycling glass. For decades people were lied to that recycling glass is a good idea. It's ALWAYS been a net environmental cost. But orthodoxists kept the myth going because stopping it would allow people to question the other categories. They worked against their own stated aims to gain more control over the brainwashed. That reveals their revealed preference: control of people rather than saving the world (even in their own mind). The food pyramid is another such farce among hundreds. The narratives all will collapse.

The internet is an enormous part of this process. Controlling three networks made manipulation a cinch when we were kids. Then the web happened and the Drudge Report showed one person could make a difference. The overclass heaved an enormous sigh of relief when Facebook started consolidating again, but they've overplayed their hand and the market is fracturing again.

There are billions of people sharing their open diaries. Diaries full of naked emperors. The truth will out.
