I have a firestick which I use as my media player.

I have it connected to a projector that doesn't have audio out. So I connect it to a set of 2.1 channel speakers through bluetooth.

I don't have any delay/lag. But my issue is the movies I download usually have quiet vocals and loud other sounds. I don't have that issue if I directly stream netflix.

I'm guessing this is because most movies nowadays are made for 5.1 channels or just bad mixing from whoever ripped them.

Is there an app I can install on the firestick that will fix this issue or reduce it?

I sometimes use plex, vlc, or built in media player from certain apps.

So I have a pc activated using HWIDGEN. I’m wondering if I could upgrade to Win 11, if I do would I keep the activation or do I have to repeat the process using HWIDGEN?

So basically it feels like Micro$oft doesn't even want my money. Well, *after* buying a license from a big, reputable local PC parts store, I can't activate it. So after jumping through the hoops and deflecting MS' attempts to get me to use Edge, sign up for an MS account, and buy an Office 365 license, the website says my key is invalid.Pirated copy worked so fast, I would have paid them money not to go through the MS gauntlet...

One huge argument in favor of pirated content is the fact that they don't care who you are, and probably don't care for your data. Never mind how incredibly easy it is to acquire and use said content...

It really is amazing how they shoot their own products in the foot like this...

I’ve looked on like 40-50 different streaming sites and there all CAM

So I have a Samsung 65" TV and have been offline for a year or so. Now that I'm back online I noticed files have become much larger and better quality 😃 but when I play some larger .mkv files or mp4 from a usb the TV looks pixelated like it has a super slow internet connection or they just hang. The files work fine on the computer. Is there any place on reddit that can help me solve this problem? Thanks.

I just heard that 1337x is a pretty good site, but can I trust it not to get me malware or a miner? (or make the performance worse?) BTW, I only get DODI repacks from there.

Has anyone had success converting a stream via an m3u8 file in VLC (or any other tool) ?

I understand the basic steps, but when I run the Open Network Stream and try to convert it to an .mp4, nothing happens. No loading bar, nothing in the error logs as far as I can tell, and no output file. I'm not sure if this is a VLC configuration issue or maybe some setting in the .m3u file itself.

I am running into a problem when I download a DAISY book from internet archive. When I click the download link, then all I get is a new tab saying "Encrypted DAISY failed during encryption". I am logged in and I have borrowed the book.
