Subject: Help me find the name of a russian software for downloading stuff.
Can you help me find the name of a software I used to download stuff? I had to reset everything in my pc a while ago, so I lost it and I don't remember the name. It was a software with a huge library of movies, tv shows, games and it was quite fast. I used it in english but I know it comes from Russia and I think it's quite popular there. The interface was dark grey/black and blue. I think the name started with "Z". I searched everywhere but I can't find the name. I know it's very vague, sorry.

Subject: Linking websites. They seem to have mostly disappeared...
I'm back in the "linking" game after a few years out, and pretty much everywhere I used to link at has disappeared. Delighted PW is back, but I'm not sure for how long. Hopefully forever 🤣 DoSMovies is still available for posting too after a name change (from two-movies).
Movie4k, TheWatchSeries, WatchEpisodes4, alluc, MovieWatchers, iwatchonline, icemovies, Tinklepad, Movie25 / 5movies, streamdreams and the original SolarMovie. (where most of my traffic came from) have all disappeared - with no alternative domains - other than clones.
Are they literally all gone? Or are there others which still allow linking? I've been looking for ages and there are none I can find.
Oh, I've checked the megathread but there are none in there either.
And thanks everyone in advance...

Subject: Changing title name of mp4's in VLC results in corrupted data?
I have a few .mp4 "files" with “.mp4” in the title name. When I open the file in VLC and go to Window > Media Information and try to change the Metadata so that the “.mp4” is no longer in the title name, this corrupts the file entirely. Does anyone know a solution to this?

Subject: Best means to play x265 and HEVC video?
Hey, I have heard a lot about VLC, but i'm curious about the best means of playing things like x265 and HEVC videos. I am not tech savy in this field so I thought best to ask those who'd know. Currently I use Windows Movies and TV for my playing means as well as Vidmore Player (I am not sure if this is malware or not, i've had my computer do multiple malwarebyte scans and nothing comes up, if anyone with actual knowledge on this could shed some light that'd be a massive help too), and i'd like to know the best to work with free and or paid. I am not good with libraries and addons and all of that either so any with as little of that would be best.
Subject: Cloning software's USB security/license dongle?
I have a copy of some software that comes with a security USB key to act as a license. I want to make copies of the key, as the software is installed on multiple computers, but the company that developed the software wants $150 per key. I know that cloning these can be hit or miss depending on how locked down they are, but I'm hopeful about this one.
If you plug the key into the computer, it acts as a normal USB drive and lets you transfer files on and off of it, which leads me to assume they're just using regular USB drives in a fancy manner. Their guide to installing a new license key from a new dongle (found here) shows that the drive contains two files meant to serve as the license. However, neither copying these to another drive, nor cloning the entire device using Passmark's USBImage works. Both of those result in the machine saying the license key is wrong or not found.
I loaded WireShark and filtered out the traffic coming to/from the USB device, and got the following info for the device's descriptor:
DEVICE DESCRIPTOR bLength: 18 bDescriptorType: 0x01 (DEVICE) bcdUSB: 0x0200 bDeviceClass: Device (0x00) bDeviceSubClass: 0 bDeviceProtocol: 0 (Use class code info from Interface Descriptors) bMaxPacketSize0: 64 idVendor: Silicon Motion, Inc. - Taiwan (formerly Feiya Technology Corp.) (0x090c) idProduct: Unknown (0x2000) bcdDevice: 0x1100 iManufacturer: 1 iProduct: 2 iSerialNumber: 3 bNumConfigurations: 1
It also shows up in Device Manager under the Disk Drives category as "USB Flash Disk USB Device". All of this information has given me hope that the device is just a basic USB storage device with a fancy way of interacting with the software, instead of a HASP device with an internal chip to control the license key. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can duplicate this key? It's super easy to verify whether or not it's working. I also don't want to use anything like USB over Ethernet (like Donglify).
Subject: What do you use to keep track of content progress?
Kind of a weird question but I'm wondering what people use to know where they left off in a series of content (movies/seasons/ect.). I've just been using the windows quick access and VLC saves the spot but this is a really weak and easily disrupted system. Is there media software that will easily track where I'm at?
Subject: Microsoft Word Problems
I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere - I haven't been able to find the info I need. See, I've been trying to get a working installation of Office (well, just Word, really) for a long time now, but every single time, I run into a problem: it slips into reduced functionality mode after varying amounts of time. Everything's activated, everything's working just fine, and then boom, RF mode. Sometimes it happens over a few days, or even a couple weeks, but it happens at some point. Just recently, I had a fine working copy of Office (Word) 2007 for a while, but then poof, it went into RF mode the other day. I've been dealing with this shit no matter what version I use. 2007? RF. 2010? RF. 2021? Opens up documents that worked in every previous version IN RF mode. 2013, 2016 and 2019 all lag so much that I can't even do much to see if they'd slip into it too. I would like to finish a project I'm working on to get me through the pandemic time, but it's not really looking like I can. Is there anyone here who can help? I've used every concievable method of activation (I used to post on My Digital Life, but nothing there helped) and I've done them all exactly as I'm supposed to. But KMS_VL_ALL, etc doesn't seem to do anything for me. I made all the necessary AV exceptions (I just use Windows Defender) too. And I'd rather not use one of the "alternatives" as they just butcher the document upon opening. Any help that can be provided will be appreciated. I hope everyone here has a safe, happy and healthy New Year.

Subject: Activation of Autodesk software on M1 Mac?
Has anyone been able to activate Autodesk software on an M1 Mac? I'm trying to install it on an M1 MBA running macOS Monterey (12.1)
After I replace the LMU and LTU files the App will just crash when I click on "Enter serial key". It won't even give me a panic window or anything, which means I cannot continue with the installation
A few months ago I successfully installed it on my 2015 MBP running MacOS Big Sur. Back then, when I tried to open the LMU and LTU Apps it told me I didn't have permission to open them, so I changed permissions for those two files using chmod and it worked flawlessly after that. I tried to do the same on my M1 MBA and it didn't work
