Subject: "Trojan Dropper" Malware Detected in app downloaded from Mobilism.

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Downloaded the latest version of an app called "Musicolet". It was uploaded by a user called derrin.
Afaik, he is one of the trusted uploaders. One of the comments claimed also that the app had malware.

  • Installed the app on my phone
  • Scanned device with Malwarebytes
  • Detected as "Trojan Dropper"

Could be a false-positive but I am not taking any chances!

Subject: What do I do if a book I'm looking for happens to be only available in a library somewhere?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello everyone! I'm completely inexperienced with this, so my question may seem a bit silly, what do I do if a book I'm looking for happens to be only available in a library somewhere, (a city very far from me and not in the country)? The book is neither in Libgen nor in Z Library, and I can't find it digitally or scanned on any website, so is the only way I can borrow a physical copy from the library in this place in person? Is there any way I can contact the library staff in that place to provide a scanned version?

Subject: Avoiding paywall / streaming timer

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

So last week I learned by reading a comment on this sub, that there was a neat Chrome add-on (from github) to avoid paywalls.

I've been using it on bloomberg, and it's working nicely. My question regards the option on Bloomberg which is to watch live TV. It's got some kind of timer, and after something like 15min it stops streaming with a popup to subscribe to continue watching.

What I've been doing as a workaround, is use the free croxyproxy website, and each time the timer runs out, I close & log back on croxyproxy. It's fine, but I was just wondering if there's an easier or more seamless approach to do that?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hey! I want to know what is the original codec of this files, because I see some of them use x264 others 265... And I would love to get a pure WEBDL file (one that has not been reencoded to avoid the artifacts..) Thanks!

Subject: How to view Classoos PDFs on PC

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I am able to see the PDF files on my phone and tablet, but when I click on them I get an error stating "The document cannot be opened..." I can view in the Classoos app, so I am assuming there is some protection. Any advice to unlock?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

This is a dungeons and dragons tool used to play online.

I'd like to pirate it, just for offline use. Is is possible ? I did not find it on my regular torrent site.

Or maybe could you suggest me a similar tool for offline use ?

Subject: Best video hosting site for piracy files?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi everyone! If I have some not-so-legal videos on my pc, and want to keep them in a web hosting space because I don't want all those Gigabytes on my hard disk, in order to stream it whenever I want and from any devices, what (free of course) site should I pick? Currently I use Mega, but also supervideo is nice, it only has some ads..

Any suggestions?

I don't want to stream directly from the streaming site because of the ads and time needed and may be removed at any time..
