Subject: Ripping Wav from youtube

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

So long story short, I've traditionally used ytmp3 to download all my tunes directly off of youtube music playlists, they've since wisened up to my little scheme, and now produce white noise whenever i try and put them into ableton or serato,
That's alright, saw that coming from a while off, we had our fun
I have since been on a 6month on-and-off battle with several yt-dl branch offs, struggled to get the flow of the coding without the GUI and to be fair, i'm looking for something more streamlined than typing code. The GUI's i did manage to get were still confusing me, when theres a good community or well paid devs, that wouldnt be an issue, but each one I installed, I was hitting the same two issues;
A. I have a pretty juvenile knowledge of file conversion and B.Couldn't get a GUI to convert to mp3 or wav... No matter what i did, Someone mentioned ffmeg once but for the most part the crowd in that sub was pretty hostile, and couldn't get a clear explanation out of anyone,

If anyone has a service similar to what im talking about, all i'm looking for is a program with a simple download and install, that can grab whole playlists directly from youtube music in high quality
maybe someone has some knowledge on the GUI's too?

Subject: Hello, Fairly New Pirate Here With A Few Questions

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello! I've just gotten into the whole pirating thing after realizing that games are fun and I am broke, so I've been trying to figure shit out from where I stand. I've downloaded a few things off of steamunlocked, but haven't really gotten too far deep into the rabbit hole. I was scrolling this sub looking for interesting/more efficient ways/things to pirate, and decided to just bite the bullet and make an account to ask some questions. This is going to be a little bit of a long post; I don't expect many replies. Any help would be most greatly appreciated!

Question 1 - I own a Wii but only bought it after the Wii Shop Network shut down; is there any way I can pirate both Wii and Gamecube games to then play on my Wii?

Question 2 - How would one go about jailbreaking a Wii? Asking for a friend, of course.

Question 3 - I saw a post on this sub about pirating Nintendo Switch games which I believe meant pirating them on a PC. I saw the post mentioned a software called yuzu- I was wondering how that would work?

Question 4 - There are a few 3ds games I've been wanting to play for quite literally almost ten years, but haven't been able to. Is there a way I can play them on PC (without buying a Nintendo 3ds?)

Question 5 - Say I wanted to, idk, pirate an editing software; what would be an easy way of going about that? I am an aspiring filmmaker who's PC can't run DaVinci due to a bug (but can run other editing softwares with similar requirements) so I figured I'd just drop a line here to see if it's worth pirating an editing software which would be typically locked behind a paywall. Also, just because I want to say this, were I ever to becomes successful in the field of filmmaking (or any other creative field for that matter) I would not only be okay with but encourage that my stuff be pirated; it's not about making money, it's about sharing a vision and entertaining people.

Question 6 - Finally, what is the easiest way of downloading video games, say, without pirating them, and maybe, idk, without a torrent? Jk jk, unless...?

(Edit) Question 7 - Forgot this one at first; is there any way to pirate PS4 games on a PC? I used to have a PS4 but don't anymore; however, I still have a bunch of PS4 games that I'd love to replay, but I now have nothing to play them on. I have the discs for everything I'd want to "pirate" (not pay for) from the PS4.

Anyways, like I said any and all help is greatly appreciated; maybe one day I'll be better at this stuff. Also for anyone reading this I'm just trolling, I would never pirate anything lmao don't report me or anything lol it's just a prank bro (it's not a prank) it's rp or something don't ban me

Subject: Watching as I download on qBitTorrent

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I'm thinking of switching from uTorrent to qBitTorrent, but I have a question before I do so. If I want to watch a movie/episode while I'm downloading with uTorrent, I can just copy the stream URL, paste it into VLC and voilĂ . Apparently, there's no such option in qBit, but you can use "Download in sequential order" and then open the file.

My question is, when you use this, does it download each file in sequential order at the same time? Or does it download the entire first file, then the entire second file, etc.?

The reason I ask this is because if I want to start watching the, say, 3rd episode of a series, I don't want to wait for the first two to download. Thanks!

Subject: Recording Lossless Apple Music to CD-R

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I've decided to try the 3 free months of Apple Music because they offer lossless audio and record albums to CD-R on a CD recorder. I have 2 recorders, a Philips 765 and a Tascam CD-RW900mkII. The Philips requires CD-R Music blanks (less common, usually more expensive) and is more of a consumer unit meant for duplicating discs. The Tascam can record to regular CD-R discs and has a few more features. I'm getting great results quality wise using an optical connection from my Macbook into the recorder(s). But I'm having to monitor the whole recording in real time to create track numbers, which is hard to do perfectly. There is a feature on both recorders that detects when a new track starts playing when the digital source is a CD player, DAT, or MiniDisc. I was really hoping that this feature would work with Apple Music but I'm not getting it to work like that. Obviously this feature was never meant to work in this way, but I'm wondering what the technical reason is for that. When recording from any of those sources, the (for instance) optical connection is outputting (streaming) digital audio. Since I'm getting good audio recordings, I believe that it is outputting 16 bit at 44.1khz (this is also what Apple Music says is being streamed), so my hopes were that the feature works by detecting a gap in the audio stream.

I realize that this question is kind of odd and maybe not exactly what is normally discussed on this sub, but maybe one of you has some knowledge about how spdif audio coming from a streaming service out of a Macbook is handled by a recording device such as a CD recorder using the optical connection. For now I'm manually setting the track numbers by monitoring the recording and sometimes the auto-level feature works on albums that have gaps between songs, but not all albums have gaps like that. I'd expect, however, that there is some sort of indication/gap when one song changes to the next (two separate audio files being played in sequence).

Hope this makes sense to someone. I'm big on collecting CDs and this is a way to help keep those costs down while still getting a high quality physical copy of the music that I want to keep offline.

I tried to download some videos from xvideos (they are at risk of getting removed if I'm not wrong). I used IDM.

Problem is, the videos are not downloading as expected, the options of files IDM shows are chunks of 1-2 MB videos instead of the whole thing.

Why's that happening and what should I do ?

Subject: Best way to compress a group of files (lossless)

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi all,

I thought this Sub might have experience with this kind of thing. I'm looking to store movies by franchise and have a little movie collection on my spare HDD but as file sizes can be creeping on 100GB per movie at times I was hoping to compress them a lot (but lossless so they can be restored fully) however I'm not really sure where to start or which algorithm would be best. I do CS so I understand what it is but have no idea how to actually do it. Anyway that's all.

Thanks in advance

Subject: can qbittorrent download even if 1337x is closed?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hey guys, I'm trying to torrent a video game that's 15gb. My internet connection is pathetic, around 100kbps download speed. The download can't happen overnight cause I can't keep the laptop with me, it'll be used by other people and they always shut it down. If I pause the download in qbittorrent, then close 1337x and then turn off my vpn for tonight, and then reopen everything tomorrow and try to resume, will it work? Or will I have to restart the whole thing? Also, will I have to hit the magnet download button in 1337x again or can I directly resume in qbittorrent after everything is opened and the vpn is running? Thanks for your help!
