I want to make a gaming room, but I am broke as fuck so I can only aford one console and 0 games.
Is it possible to buy software and somehow keep the software when I return it?
Or copy games that are on a CD and then return the CD?
Should I use hypervisors (software for VM) for my computer, if something wents wrong? Or is there a better way?

Subject: Where would I be able to find DAWs and plugins?
I own Ableton Live 11 Intro but it just doesn't have the tools I need, plus it's difficult to gauge the usefulness of free plugins. Suite and Standard are both too expensive and so are some of the plugins. I would prefer to stick with Ableton because I'm familiar with it but honestly, I'm good for anything with a decent UI.
Subject: I miss being in the know about current movies
Does anybody else miss how they could watch the new movies at home instead of going to the theater? It felt so refreshing being able to talk about all the new movies being released. I don't have the energy to go to the movies so I always have to wait for the movie to release on Bluray or streaming.
Now that covid is "over", movies are theater only again and the boring reality of pre-covid movie releases returns.

Subject: Latest Scene 1080p BluRay x264 Release Sizes
Hello fellow sailors,
I've been wondering something lately for the last year or so. I've noticed that the scene releases of 1080p blurays are getting bigger, closer to 20gb than the usual 10gb (on average) that we were used to seeing. I saw a very recent one (Brotherhood.of.the.Wolf.2001.DC.1080p.BluRay.x264-EUBDS) which is 20.85gb, when the remux (Le.pacte.des.loups.AKA. Brotherhood.of.the.Wolf.2001. Director's.Cut. BluRay.1080p.DTS-HD. MA.5.1.AVC.REMUX-FraMeSToR) is 23.76gb. For comparison's sake, the previous non-DC, non-remastered release for the movie by FLHD was 9gb (I'm aware that you can't do a direct comparison to this one as the remastered will most likely have higher bitrate audio/video, but we've seen other remastered releases, even MULTi ones before that were not almost double in size to the previous non-remastered release).
That is obviously an extreme example, but the trend appears to be there. Now, I'm not complaining at all about sizes (you can find p2p groups that will still do decent encodes closer to 10gb in size for a 2 hour movie, if you need to) I'm just mostly curious as to the reason for this. Was there a recent rule change? Is the audio much bigger now in the latest blurays? Another thing that I find curious and confusing is that the 720p releases are closer in size to the previous period in time (may still be bigger, but not close to double in size as has happened with the 1080ps).
Thanks for taking the time to read all that rambling. Would like to hear your thoughts/comments.

I've been using footlive.me for quite some time, watching the different championships and I have to say, it was quite reliable.
Unfortunately, it seems that lately the site has gone offline, so wondering if anyone here was also watching football streams, and if so on what site.

In my journeys through the depths of the web trying to locate games.. I've come across some torrents that contain Steam folders and such but no install files. Are these repacks? I want to know how all of this works. Could someone plz direct me to the section of our Pirate Library where I can level up on this? :)

Subject: I can't tell a difference between a 2160p and 1080p rips
The title says it all. I've been looking at two rips of Snowpiercer, one a 4K, the other a 2K DV rip. I'm playing them with Emby through nVidia Shield to a LG 65" OLED screen. What I've been noticing is that it is impossible for me to tell any difference between the two versions, especially with the Smart Upscaling feature on the Shield turned on. Is that pretty much what other people are seeing or are my eyes getting old? I'm trying to make the best use of the available space on my NAS and a 1080p rip obviously takes up far less room. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Subject: Is it safe to pirate an OS
One of the first things I learned when pirating is to NEVER pirate an OS. People on this sub say it all the time as well. I'll just install Windows from Microsoft's website and activate it using KMS, simple.
Problem is, I want to install Windows 10 LTSC and there is no "official" Microsoft ISO. There's a shitton of isos all around the web and I'm not sure if it's safe to install any of them.
On the megathread, there's a pastebin link to isos of the OS. I downloaded the ISO I wanted. How do I check if it's legit? How do I know if it's safe?
