I'm looking for a way to create my own streaming service by scraping live streams from certain sites, My end goal is to use this on my firestick.

My problem is i don't know what resources i would need to do this, I've searched YouTube for an answer but fell short as the information seems quite outdated,

My query doesn't just apply to kodi, there are possibly other methods that my tiny insignificant brain hasn't figured out yet but my guess is if I'm going to get a answer, this is the place.

Hi, I'm planning to build a PC that can run 3 or more Virtual Machines (basically with Windows as OS) to record from locked sources.

For example NowTV use a proprietary player that block screen recording.

I was thinking to use the virtual machine to run the player and on the main system run OBS or similar recording app to record the VM screen.

Same for Discovery+, Netflix and other services if I can’t find the show/movie/series on torrent or other.

Or running Kodi, VLC or similar media players (one on every virtual machines) to watch an IPTV and record it while doing some other tasks on the main system without audio overlaps.

Or a VPN to watch content locked in my country and, as said, record it while doing other on the main system.

I know that I can separate two audios with Voicemeter Banana and VB cables (that is what I’m doing at the moment) but I can’t use it for everything and more VB cables require a payment.

I’m not an expert but I guess I’ll need a good amount of RAM and a bunch of core.

But what about frequencies? Is a CPU with an high turbo boost needed?

What hardware can you guys recommend?

Also in the build I’ll install some TV-tuner card (with recorder) and HDMI capture card like Elgato or Avermedia to record from console and HDMI decoders (using an HDMI splitter to bypass the HDCP protection if needed) so I need some usable pcie slot on the motherboard in addition to that for the GPU and the right amount of pcie lanes to run the cards.

Surely it wouldn't be able to access the files in search if it was fully blocked? When I click on any torrent project file they go pink but never ask for the download path... Do plugins normally circumvent actual website blocks (by ISPs +/gov)?

I found this video from a website called highload that I want to download. Only way I found online was this shitty downloader website that didn't work and everytime I try to download it from highload it just redirects me to another website. Anyone know any way I could download the video?

Most of that software is mentioned for windows but if there is software for others os it would be easier to find it if people cloud just search for their OS category

What are your thoughts on a 4K encode vs a 4K remux? Does an encode result in lower audio quality? I’ve personally done comparisons of a 4K encode vs a remux and I don’t think I can distinguish any difference visually. For 2K DI mastered movies I don’t think you can tell a difference at all and even for 4K DI movies like Fury, I was not able to notice any difference. I compared them on the same 55” Sony OLED and could not distinguish any visual difference yet the file sizes for an encode is a fraction of the remux. Do you choose to download an encode or a remux for your collection? I’d like to hear your opinions. I think I will only choose remux for a 4K mastered movie that is one of my favourites like The Thing or Taxi Driver. I realize hard drives are cheap relative to 4K blu rays, but I like to keep as many movies in the same drive rather than having to plug in another hard drive to see my other movies. Thanks for your input.
