Subject: Can I pirate audible content?
Subject: Using google search
When you search google for \coughs* paid software, books, movies and other pay walled content ....coughs... to buy them of course... coughs.... sometimes if you are lucky you might get exactly what you are looking for and sometimes not so much, especially for certain softwares where either your search results would completely filled with those auto generated scam sites that frustrate the hell out of you or random garbage that has nothing to do with anything. In such cases have a look at the bottom of the page where it would say "some searches were removed as per a DMCA complaint or complaints" if there's any. Now if you see that, then click on complaint (or complaints if there are more than one) and you will be shown a summary of the DMCA complaint including the company/organization that filed the complaint and the urls that violated copyright. The urls arent complete in the sense that you wont get the urls to the actual page but the top website address is visible and thats all you need (they say you can get the full DMCA complaint if you provide your email but i dont think you would need that). Now verify if the product you are looking for is somehow related to the company who filed the complaint to make sure you are looking at the right thing. There you have it, a list of websites that actually contained or still contain what you were looking for. All you now need to do is go to that website and search for that product there.

Subject: Legit bought games and RGH
I recently bought a Trinity Xbox 360s with 2 controllers and 68 (digital) games for 30€. I found a guy who can RGH it, but I'm not sure if I will be able to play legit games after it's hacked. Will it log off from the account after the RGH? Or will I be able to keep playing the legit games? I'm only interested in playing offline

Subject: expanding my searches
Hi all, i often use the most famous website for finding the torrents i need. However, I'm increasingly finding that the things im looking for arent on there. At the moment I'm trying to find a couple of niche audiobooks and obscure short animated series. Do you guys have different search engines you use when others don't turn up results?

First of all i would like to thank you guys for recommended me the tigole or qxr 4k rip. My collection now most consist of qxr and tigole 4k rip.
Anyway is there a website or torrent that i can just find only the movie audio track eg Dolby Atmos or Dts-hd Ma because tigole 4k rip audio track in aac or ac3 kind of low quality audio in my ear.
Im tinking to find other rip with atmos or dtshd-ma but the tigole video rip already good for me and if i can just find just the movie audio track without need to download entire movie that would be nice.
Subject: Subreddit with new streaming releases
Is there a subreddit centered around new streaming releases ? I obviously have subscriptions to all and every streaming service that exists (wink wink) but it would be helpful to see in one place what new release is worth checking.
I know of a few websites with new releases but they lack reddit’s hive wisdom.
Well I just found r/StreamingBestOf after writing this. Still not exactly what I would like so I’ll post anyway.
Subject: (3d software/assets) How could/would a company find out or investigate if you've made something using a pirated version of their assets/software?
(Question specific to US laws, if that matters.)
Let's say for example I started making 3d sculpts in Zbrush or maybe I started animating in Cinema4d. Let's say some of those animations had some pirated 3d assets.
I'm not obligated to ever say what software I made my models or animation in and I feel like a company wouldn't go after you unless you had some kind of rumor going around that you pirated your software or assets, right? Or are you required to keep all your receipts to prove later on that you made your thing with legit materials?
I know the easy answer is "just use blender, it's free" which is true, but I'm more curious about how or why someone would have a copyright holder go after them for using pirated assets. I also know that for game development, Unity is a little easier to track as far as licensed materials/assets goes so I'm not really curious about how that could screw you, specifically.
Like if you made an animation with a few pirated materials (example; a car model from Turbosquid,) in what situation would you ever have to show receipts and prove ownership of the license to use the asset in your animation? Is it not something you ever have to worry about unless you're working with some big name company that'd draw attention?
If you're just an indie, 1-man "studio" is it unlikely anyone would ever ask you to show your receipts for any assets? If anyone were to ever ask me about receipts, could I just tell them to go f themselves or could anyone get some kind of legal document to make you hork up your receipt simply because they suspect your asset may be pirated? (An unlikely scenario, sure, but I am genuinely curious how that procedure would even go.)
tl;dr:If I'm making animations and I'm a small-time, 1-man studio, will there ever be a situation where I'm made to show receipts for assets or could I just dodge answering the "wow did you make this all yourself?" question (not claim it's mine just dodge answering the question or simply lie and say I bought it from turbosquid or smth.) This is specific to assets where the TOS says "credit is not required" but I'd have had to buy the commercial license to download them.
Subject: Renaming lowercase files after download
Does anyone know of a way to rename lowercase files that have been downloaded by rtorrent to their correct format?
For instance if I download, hi.s01e01.there.iso how would one convert it to Hi.S01E01.There.iso? I am currently using a a perl script that uppercases everything after a period but that obviously doesn't cover things like the E in the date.
It currently ends up as, Hi.S01e01.There.iso
The scripts I am using is:
`perl -pe 's/([\w-]+\.)/ucfirst($1)/ge'`

Subject: Writing a research paper on Piracy
Hello my fellow Raiders,
I’m currently in in one of my business classes and we were talking about the purpose of intellectual property and it’s need of defense. I am very pro piracy and I understand the intrinsic games that you can me to society by allowing people who are at a disadvantage to access tools and media that they would normally never be able to access. However I also understand that in certain lights piracy can be dangerous even though I have pirated things for my whole life. So please tell me your favorite points on why piracy is great for society. I’m going to be presenting my paper so it’s really fun to educate people on some things that they really might have a different opinion on, generally negative.
