Subject: How dangerous is it if I pirate unreleased games?
I heard that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet roms have been leaked onto the internet. I’m wondering how dangerous is it (from a legal standpoint) to actually download them? Are they more illegal than released games? Can I still get in trouble even if I take normal piracy precautions (VPN, avoid shady websites)? Not saying that I’m thinking of downloading, just curious.

Subject: How viable is free Malwarebytes Premium in 2023?
Had version 1.7 premium years ago, then they updated to modern and it broke the keygen method as far as I know. I want discussion of your experiences and views on it, past and current.
Don't bother commenting "you shouldn't pirate antivirus" because I would and have before. Not paying obscene prices for a subscription just to run a schedule.

Subject: Suspicious File Issue
Downloaded a "movie" that installed a file with the file type "FILE". When I try to delete it it says file not found the file has been moved, but if I refresh the file directory it's still in the same spot.
Any suggestions with how to delete this suspicious file?

Subject: Having problems with demuxing subs into BluRay releases
Hello sub I have a problem with subtitles removing inside the bluray mkv's. The thing is , my Samsung tv can't handle correctly the muxed subs and I want to demux them ( I'm using ffmpeg ) and keep preferably one or both audio tracks of the specific file and the video stream . The commands I'm currently using aren't helpful at all now because I have downloaded episodes of a series and it's gonna take a long time for me to extract track by track and then mux them into one file. the command -sn for disabling subs always keep the first audio track which happens to be the one which my tv also can't play . What do you recommend?

Subject: Synology Download Station to Transmission RPC bridge?
👋 I just bought a Synology NAS and to my surprise I found several iOS apps that allow to add and control torrents to the Synology Download Manager running on it.
I'm very surprised because to my knowledge Apple always forbid any remote torrent client to land on the App Store.
I thought that it could be useful to create a small bridge or adapter that will expose itself as a Synology NAS but in reality interfaces with a Transmission RPC backend. This way anyone could use the Synology-specific apps to control a normal Transmission instance.
Is this something people would find useful or should I forget it?

Subject: Why are AV1 movies encodes grainy?
So I wanted to try AV1 movies because of its efficiency. I compared AV1 with x265 and AV1 looked better in the 3 movies I tested. But I noticed that AV1 encodes has that subtle grain that's moving. After downloading more movies I found that there is always grain but it differs in intensity. A lot of the time it's so subtle it won't bother you while watching but sometimes it's distracting. I downloaded from dAV1nci on 1337x and found he has "Grain Synthesis #" in all of his encodes. He types this in all his movies' description in 1337x along other encoder settings. I am not an expert but from its name I assume that this is the setting that adds the grain. Why does he add it? Is there any benefits from that?
There is another tracker called RAV1NE and he also has that as he adds "Grain #" in his movies description but I didn't try his stuff.

Subject: Any recommended places to request software?
Googled in advance, but haven’t found any helpful answers. Software is pretty industry specific, and I only have access to the web only free trial. Haven’t been able to find it on any of the recommended sites (though there are torrents for tutorials on how to use it funnily enough). Is there a trusted forum that I can make a request on?
