And here is the OTHER way of looking at these reports.
The Pentagon refused to send in the National Guard.
The police seem to have supported it.
If they were pretty much willing to turn their backs - maybe they were hoping for a different outcome.
Which should make you think...
Subject: "QAnon Shaman" who stormed Capitol denies he is antifa as conspiracy theorists turn on him. Sucks when your own turn on you cause they
One time, in 8th grade, a kid I had been bullying had enough and snapped, and grabbed me and started swinging. I looked over at the teacher, and he turned and walked back into class.
Only when I started beating the kid's ass did he come back out and break it up.
Sometimes, when the people who are supposed to be standing in the way of things going south turn their back - they've got a good reason. That teacher had that kid's back, and certainly didn't have mine - and was watching close enough that when things didn't go as he had planned (the kid had me by 25 pounds and 3 inches...) he was right there to stop it immediately.
And the Senate has probably already considered these things. The Pentagon and the DC police do not have their backs - or at the very least, they're hoping they've learned a God Damned lesson.
Support "Defund the Police" marches for 6 months, then expect the Blue Brotherhood to defend you from the angry mob? Probably not.
But are LIBERTARIANS really this fucking stupid, now?
Subject: The Capitol Police officers who assisted the terrorists must be tried publicly and be made an example
This needs to be first on the agenda. Much less divisive than a mass round up of everyone who stormed the Capitol. Arrest everyone who stole stuff and committed violence on camera. Only then can we even attempt to heal.

Subject: Capitol Police officer dies from injuries suffered during pro-Trump riot
On one hand, the Capitol was rushed, and the senators learned that they don't have carte blanche to fuck over the nation constantly. On the other hand, THIS is what the boiling point was? Not the years of wasting tax dollars, the Patriot Act, the decades of increasing authoritarianism? BECAUSE THE ORANGE MAN LOST??? Fucking deal with it, you're literally rioting after morally grandstanding on liberals by saying they would riot if they lost. Hypocrites. The Capitol should be constant protesting grounds whenever the Senate attempts to ruin this country. But it should be done in the name of liberty. Not by idiots looking to voluntarily give away their own liberty.

Subject: Republicans can no longer claim to be the party of states
They supported using the federal government to dictate how states should run their elections, a power given to them (the states) by the Constitution.
Will they try to claim they are? Probably. We should not let them.
That is all.

Subject: So why are conservatives all of a sudden upset that a private company can deny to you their business?
I’m not only taking about social media, but Sen. Hawley complained about Simon & Schuster cancelling his book deal. It really looks like the Republican Party is abandoning the free market and is seeking to force private business to do its bidding. r/Conservative seemed to share a similar sentiment. Where do you think this is leading to?

The coup was poorly led, poorly planned, and poorly executed, which is why it failed. It is clear that the assault on the capital was explicitly incited by Trump to prevent a political rival from taking power. Both half-assed and half-hearted, it had no clear path to success, but it was still an attempt. If the American people don't sufficiently punish the participants and sanction the proponents this will happen again. Literally no other issue will matter in the United States if we become a dictatorship.

It saddens me that the glorious rattler has been stolen from us by those who wish to tread on anyone unlike them. The fact i need to explain myself if i bust it out is gross and being grouped in with these people is disheartening to say the least. Start calling out hippocracy in its use i beg of you my fellow libertardians its the only way we can proudly wave it without starting two fights at once
