Subject: In need of help to use my MiSTer with a CRT TV
Hey guys, im trying to connect my MiSTer to a CRT TV using S-video, to do so im using Antonio Villena's VGA to S-video adapter
https://www.antoniovillena.es/store/product/vga-composite-s-video-adapter/
I connected the MiSTer with said adaptor using and S-video cable to the TV, and for audio im using a 3.5 audio jack cable to RCA. When I turn on the MiSTer I get no video signal, don't know if audio is working since I can't run any game to check it
Now the thing is I have no idea how to set the MiSTer.ini file to work on this setup, anyone that experienced this or knows how to setup the ini file could give me a hand?
I will leave my ini file config on the first comment
Thanks!

Subject: MiSTer FPGA Arcade Core Universal Cosmic Series Games Released : Space Panic, Cosmic Alien and Magical Spot
I bought a 10’ led screen and I’m trying to use a custom video line
video_mode=2048,26,32,48,1536,3,6,12,200000
But I don’t know the location of where to paste it and I keep breaking my ini file where I don’t get a picture. Does anyone know where on the ini I should paste the mode lines?

Subject: Noob question. Could this interface with MiSTer and essentially perform the functions of an Mt32-pi? “Super MIDI Pak: Turns your SNES into a MIDI synthesizer”
So I messed around with some video settings trying to hook my mister into a old vga monitor, which worked. But ever since then going back to hdmi it seems like the mister is constantly changing resolutions which my tv has a hard time keeping up with. Whereas before it seemed like it was almost always one resolution and never hiccuped.
Any idea how to fix this?

Subject: IO Board, Ext. LEDs. Which pins correspond to which LED?
Can't find an answer to this question anywhere -- just want to light up a PC case's power & disk LEDs, as I'm using it to house the DE-10.

I must be missing something fundamental.
I own Cloanto's AmigaForever, and copied the rom files (after some experimentation) to the games/Amiga folder.
When I run the core, it complains about not finding the kickstart.
I copied one of the .rom files to the root of the sd card and named it KICK.ROM . Didn’t work.
I've also gone into the F12 interface and selected various of the .rom files in the games/Amiga folder.
Still no kickstart.
What am I missing?
Does minimig only work with A500 roms?
Also, I haven’t seen mention of Workbench. Where does that come from and where does it go on the SD card?
Really looking forward to getting an Amiga going. Thanks for any help!

My mister came pre-setup and my update script is called update.sh I ran the update today and it updated itself and tons of cores including downloading lots of arcade stuff, however it didn’t pick up anything related to cps2. Do I have the wrong script? How do I go about getting the right one?
Thanks

Subject: Can you recommend me some computer cores to try out?
I've only really known the Amiga and use that often. It's really why I got the Mister and the computer cores are the most fascinating part of it. There's so many PC cores here, what ones are worth trying to get running for some great games? No matter the age. I guess zx and c64 are must plays too.

Subject: Sega Saturn MiSTer FPGA Update Progress with CD Block
What's up guys. First post in this subreddit. I'm strongly considering a MisterFPGA, but I had a couple questions about the SNAC adaptors.
I think being able to use original controllers is really nice, but does it look aesthetically unpleasing when plugged in? Seems like with most cases that are made with the MisterFPGA, you have a weird-ass dongle hanging from the Mister that is an eyesore. Not only a dongle, but an exposed board.
How do you guys get around this? Do you use a 3D printed case that covers the SNAC adaptor? Do you just deal with the unpleasing look? Or am I incorrect on something?
Not a big deal or anything, but I'm mainly worried it's going to break if it's exposed like that.

Subject: Is Mister FPGA that much better than a Raspberry Pi?
I made this thread in the FPGAGaming, but I just wanted to chime in here to get some more opinions about this.
My argument:
The Mister has better latency, but is it really that much better than a raspberry pi? I always thought the difference was extremely miniscule
Hardware emulation is going to be more reliable than software emulation, but if we're talking about 16-bit consoles and earlier, software emulation has really come a long way... And you're really not going to see that many issues on SNES, Genesis and most other 16-Bit consoles.
N64 would be the perfect console for the Mister, because N64 emulation on the raspberry pi is pretty bad, but guess what, N64 will never be supported on the Mister, so there goes that argument.
Not trying to hate, in fact I really like the mister and I do want to try it, but the price point is just a little bit too high and you don't get much more than a raspberry pi. If it were a $40 difference, then sure it would be worth it, but we're talking about tripling the price here.
What do you guys think?

My C64 core got corrupted (there were two, one was marked for deletion and the other, newer one was too small to be a functioning core). So I think, simple fix, delete both and run update all. To my surprise, update all didn't reinstall the missing C64 core. I had to do it manually. No big deal, but I was surprised. I thought update all looked for missing cores on the master list and installed any that were missing or had newer versions. Is this a known feature?
