Subject: Finished consolizing my MiSTer, Forgot to post the step by step vid here...
Hi all. Looking to buy a second power cable so I can move my mister between an Arcade1up cab and the TV.
Is there a consensus “best” power cable to buy? Anyone have an Amazon reco perhaps? I was trying to find the default DE-10 one but no luck.
Thank you!

What are the best settings for the mister fpga and cores? I have a 1440p screen. I am very new to this and would like to know before I get one. Thanks!

I had read about using FPGAs before but this is mind-blowing. I recognize you're probably saying "no sh-t" and "duh" but we're super excited about this technology here. I'm looking forward to all my arcade favorites (which I use in apps on macOS and Windows today as well as an RG351V), but more importantly I have dreamt of having an Amiga since it was called the Lorraine but as a kid we didn't have the money for such things.
Really looking forward to learning more about the MiSTerProject from you all!

Subject: Anyone know of any NA sellers for a VGA to Component (YPbPr) cable with a pre-installed sync-on-green mod for direct video?
Looks like the IO board's days may be numbered with the PSX core.

I’m new to the Mister, and I have a basic question - does Mister support the regular RGB on a CRT tv? I am also confused about RGB, composite and component, the white/red/yellow port is a RGB , or it is a composite? If a CRT only have the white/red/yellow, it is RGB? Or composite? Thanks a lot for the clarification!

I just received the final part for my build, an analog I/O board (v6.1). However, it has an empty hole that looks like it should be populated with a pin that goes down into the socket on the DE10 Nano, like the other (former) holes near it. Is one pin in fact missing?

Side note, the PCB is annoyingly tacky/sticky. I thought it might be flux residue or something? Brushed it down with 99% isopropyl but it didn't really help much. Any tips on de-stickyfying?
Cheers.

Subject: 8bitdo Arcade Stick in 2.4GHz wireless/wired mode in Switch/Nintendo layout?
Hey guys,
I was setting up a little “arcade area” for a Halloween/Pumpkin carving get-together yesterday and was going to leave Ghouls N Ghosts up on one of the LaserBear “CRT” screens and wanted to use my 8bitdo Arcade stick for it.
Has anyone had any difficulty using the “S” button layout using either the USB cable or the 2.4GHz dongle on MiSTer? I could get the “X” layout to work just fine using 2.4 GHz/USB cable, and I used Bluetooth for the “S” layout (just a button layout I’m more comfortable with in the classic gaming context).
I think a happy accident is that with Bluetooth, it appears according to Porkchop Express, that it has less latency than with the 2.4GHz or wired option, so maybe a non-issue. Just curious if anyone else has had a problem?
Thanks

If I buy one of these bundles from Mister Addons, does it have Bluetooth capability already, or do I need to purchase an additional dongle?

I bought the analog kit from Misteraddons. I have an 8bitdo SN30+, which I think works wired. Just going to be playing HDMI out for now.
Is there anything else I should absolutely grab before it arrives?

Subject: Just discovered that the Atari 7800 core has SNAC support for using the Sega Phaser (Master System) light gun! Saves you from having to find an Atari XG-1.
I realize these kind of posts are annoying, but with Playstation 1 right around the corner, I wonder how close a PSP is to a PSX? Is is close enough that a PSP could follow in short order?

New mister user here. Got my DE10 nano yesterday. Was pretty simple to set up and had it all full of cores and games in no time.
Just wondering if it's possible to change the aspect ratio outside of the few scaling options each core gives. I prefer to play a lot of games (particularly SNES) in their original 8:7 ratio. I don't like the overly stretched look that 4:3 does to a lot of SNES games.
Can't seen to find any solid information on weather it's possible but I'm guessing from the lack of information that maybe it isn't. Seems like an odd oversight and is seriously the only complaint I have with the kit.
