Subject: Gentlemen's Pixel Club - Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine / MiSTer FPGA / Mega Drive / Genesis
I’ve recently learned about MISTer but sadly it seems damn near impossible to find one (separate component or pre assembled). Any advice on where I should look?

I have a mister setup running from the hdmi output to an adapter from Amazon to get vga and audio out. This is then plugged into a sega Naomi universal cab. The audio is a bit weak and lacking punch. Does anyone know if the different adapters have different audio out or have any advice about getting better sound quality? Picture is perfect just sound dull. Thanks for any help.

Hey all, I have been trying to figure out how to set this up and it is an absolute pain. Now before you forward me to Pezz 82 on youtube, that vid is from over a year ago and I heard setup has changed since then. The github is also not noob friendly. I would highly appreciate it if someone can help with a step by step on how to set up this core. thanks all!

I've gotten a translated version of BS-X Zelda - Ancient Stone Tablets to work ... at least the first week. When I go to the second weeks rom, all of the save info from the first is gone. Has anyone figured out what you need to do to get the save data to come across to the next week?

Subject: Beginner question, not sure what to google search.
I'm interested in getting a Digital IO board MiSTer set up going, but I also really would like to get use of my CRT. I really want to go digital as to future-proof myself for later cores that might need multiple cards like the PSX. My specific TV is a large Sony Triniton CRT, I have available S-Video, Component and Composite inputs to choose from, and I'm wondering what would be the best option for me in terms of adapters, cables or options in general? "Best" to me being least troubleshooting and a reliable stable image.
I have tried googling around but I get very mixed search results about other tangentially related discussions.

Hey I bought a aluminum Case from misteraddons but then realized I didn't have the header pins, so I soldered then on and made a real mess of it (I've never soldered before) it kinda worked but seemed like it wasn't making his contact so I thought I'd remove it and try again, it looks like I did a nicer job but now nothing works, not even the old way of micro usb to micro usb and the red power led only flashes on for a split second when you power it on our in off.
1) I assume I've destroyed this board, does that sound like a correct assumption?
2) I can not find one available anywhere with the header pins I need, why is this so complicated?
3) I found a local one on eBay but it doesn't have a barrel plug input, just 2 usb ports pwr1 and pwr2, I guess this wouldn't work.
I'm pretty bummed because I was really looking forward to getting my set to into a nice case but now I'm in a worse position than before and spent like $150 getting the case

Subject: Can't get an alternate Bubble Bobble core to play.
I am trying to run one of the alternate versions of the Bubble Bobble core but I can't get it to proceed past a black screen. The version is Bubble Bobble (prototype on Tokio hardware). I specifically want to use this version because it has a level-editor built in. I can run the other alternates just fine.
Just curious if anyone else can get it running or have any suggestions. Thanks!

Is there anyway to check if I toasted my nano? I bought the gst25-p1j ac dc adapter that was recommended for use with the mister and io board and usb hub. I connected everything together and when I powered on for first time the fan sputtered and wouldn’t kick in. I tried unplugging and plugging in the ac again and it sort of threw a spark and the ac adapter green light goes out whenever I plug it into the nano. I tried disconnecting everything and plugging in the original ac adapter it came with and the original SD card and only hdmi but I’m not getting any output at all. Did I burn the fpga?!

So when IDE 0-0 BOOT-DOS98.vhd boots we get the 98 boot menu (was that F8?):
- HIRAM
- EXTENDED
- EMM386
- QEMM
- CLEAN
I'll admit I haven't really worked with win98 in, ummmm a couple of decades now so I don't really remember - which would be the best option here for running the TOP300 games?
Thanks!

Hi all - ~2w Mister FPGA neophyte here: I'm sure it's just my perception but it raised the question in my mind: For any of the 7 USB ports in the standard addon - does the number of controllers hooked to the mister, type of controller, or USB port? Related: Are there any config settings or menu settings that can impact controller lag too? I'm noticing lag on a Qanba Obsidian (corded) and looking for troubleshooting / eliminating options.
Thank you!
