Subject: Need help picking a USB receiver.

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello,

I need a Bluetooth (BCM20702A0) receiver that is compatible with Mister for a Retro-Bit Saturn controller.

Does anyone know a receiver that matches both criteria?

Thank you.

Subject: Question about Jotego files from Patreon

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

When installing the files from my computer to the Mister I have an issue when I run one of the arcade games. So, I tried booting up Robocop and the sound works. The HUD works and the controls work. But, where you should see the game in the middle its all black. Anyone know how to fix this?

Subject: Help with mister first setup

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello there, idk if someone can help me or already had this problem. I bought an analog mister from misteraddons, all fine, 8gb micro sd, no ROMs and no update_all script. So today i bought a sandisc 256gb micro sd, installed the Ms fusion unzipped via apple pi baker as Im using a mac... then plugged into my mister, installed the OS and ok, but the first time when i turned the mister off and tried to power on, it didnt give me the buttons lights and no image too (and with the misteraddons 8gb sd it powered on normally). Then i plugged it on my mac again... did a format in exfat again and flashed the ms fusion again. This time before i turned off the mister i started the update script, and was going normal for about 15/20min, but then the image gone and mister's light buttons turned off too (only with the blue internal light)... i tried to restart from the button but nothing. Powered off and now isnt powering again (only internal blue lights) :/

Subject: Is there any way to hide the OSD for Writing and Loading Save States for the NES/GB/GBA?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I still want to use Save States. Just wondering if the little OSD in the corner that pops up can be hidden like other the OSD for Inputs and Display Resolution.

Subject: Converting real PSX saves for use with the MiSTer core?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello all, I've managed to extract my PSX saves from my memory card using a PS3 and the Memory Card Adapter. I then copied them onto a FAT32 micro SD card and transfered them to my PC. Using FTP I browsed into the MiSTer PSX core's save directory and found all the saves to be in .SAV format, each 131,072 kb in size. The saves I extracted from my memory card are in .PSV PS3 format, but I do have a utility to convert them back to their original ,MCS format if need be. All of them are 9 kb in size. I'm looking to retire my real hardware and was wondering how would I go about converting them into .SAV format for use in the PSX MiSTer core?

Thanks for your help!

Subject: Anyone have this issue (psx unstable nightly)

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Can't launch anything. Core boots but just reboots everytime you choose a game. Could run games before on an earlier unstable.

Subject: Cores freeze all of a sudden

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

So today I finally found my Pi3B, so I had the chance to (try to) test my MT32-pi!

I updated-all, connected the MT32 board (though at the first time I stupidly just shove it into a random USB port), powered up and...

-AO486 seems to freeze at the mem options screen - no key input.
-X68000 'boots' into a corrupted screen of noise
-same for the ST core.

So far I haven't been able to test the MT32-pi, but the strange (?) thing is that even if I unplug it those cores exhibit the same behavior... Really not sure if it ws the MT32, the update or something else. I just listed everything I did.

Any ideas? :(

Thanks!

Subject: Keyboard in ao486 core

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Is there a way to get the keyboard to work? I press some keys and it does nothing other keys are giving me different letters entirely. Pretty sure it's registering as something else and not a keyboard. How do I fix this?

Subject: Racing wheel and old arcade racers?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello,

Apologies if this has been asked before or if it's obvious.

Is it possible to connect a steering wheel and pedal set (ex. Logitech g29) to the mister to play those old arcade racers like cruisin USA?

I remember playing those arcade racers and I think they had force feedback steering wheels? Even if they didn't have Force Feedback, the arcade cabinets with steering wheel and pedals were still a blast back in the day.

I'm not really familiar with the arcade cores, are there also racing cores?

Thanks.

Subject: Brand new to mister FPGA

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Im a long time lover of video games, old and new. As a kid born in the 80s, I had a fair bit of the classics. Long story short, post PS1 era all my consoles and games older than that got given away. Over the past 3 years I have probably spent a few grand... 3 or 4, buying stuff back. Mostly hardware, some games.

A lot of it original hardware, an analogue SuperNT and MegaSG, some mods for some of my original hardware.. two 32" JVC D Series CRTs... HDRetroVision component cables.

This is all a way to say Im serious about video games, embrace new and old, emulation (software and now hardware with the mister) and original hardware. All of it. All of my $200 per month or a lot of it, of my spending money, goes usually twoards something video game related. I love it.

So now I want to try mister. Mostly for arcade and older computers, but I do admit I might sell some other stuff if mister works for me and I like it. Im looking at you analogue FPGA systems.

I bought a few DE-10 nano boards from terasic. I have a few friends interested, so I ordered for them too. Plus two for me, as I am interested in building a mistercade arcade cabnit down the road.

At any rate.. I need an IO board, usb hub, case, and ram to get started. Im not sure if I need or want dual ram stick ability. I do want analog RGB out for use with my CRT. I want to use jag core if it comes out, the psx core, saturn core.... ect. So should I plan for dual ram and how does that affect what parts I need?

What power supply would I need?

Im looking at this for around $325 euro with all the options.... (128mb ram, heatsink upgrade, db9 extension cable, decapod with case for snac splitters)

Df3mod mister mini ITX Ironclad plus

Df3mod.com/product/mini-itx_ironclad_plus/

Good option? Size is not off putting to me. Looks like Id also need an ITX power supply?

Just not sure which way to go. Or if theres a better "slim stack" more traditional option for an all in one kit to build this out?
