Subject: Can you use a 128 GB card and partitions of 40 GB with 3.2?
Can't find any official statement; the only thing on the 3.2 info is that it support partitions larger than 4 GB; and that the entire space it can address is 128 GB.
I want to use a 128 GB card with 3.2, with a 500 mb partition for WB, and 3 partitions of 40 GB each; but it seems that it is not an option, at least when I tried to do so using WUAE (tried both with SCSI device and UAE device on HDToolBox).
The card is recognized as 128 GB card; the partitioning is done and changes saved to disk, but they do not stick; so when you reboot, the disk goes back to its initial state. Didn't try yet on the real Amiga but that may be worth to try.
Anyone using large cards and partition? All the videos I see online are usually employing a 16 or 32 GB card at most.

![]() | Hi, I have a PAL Amiga 1200 w/ 3.1.4 ROMs and Amiga OS 3.1.4 installed on a CF card. I have an OSSC and the ScanPlus AGA thing (not using both at the same time). Why is it when I go to ScreenMode Preferences I only have these Display Modes available? I see people with an Amiga 1200 and OSSC getting a lot more options, specifically these "DBLPAL" Display Modes. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your help. [link] [comments] |

Subject: What's the best way to play Amiga games without an actual Amiga?
Hi everyone, first time posting so I'm sorry if this is something that's been covered before!
I still have a 1200 but I don't really have the space to have it set up, and last time I dug it out it seemed like it worked for a bit and then the discs stopped working so I'm scared to try again in case I'm doing harm to my old game collection (I will probably post again at some point to ask advice on how best to refurbish it!).

Subject: troubleshooting question regarding glitched games
im running a 500+ and aside from a flakey power connection everything seems to work fine after i realized that the joystick goes in player 2, but the main game ive been using to test it has some graphical bugs and occasionally locks up requiring a hard reset if there are more than a few corrupted sprites on the screen at the same time. the game in question is thunder blade and im running it from an original floppy, is this issue more likely to be bit rot or some flakey trace?

Subject: Amigalive GameTime hosts monthly online Amiga game tournaments
Amigalive GameTime organizes a tournament every month, usually on the last Friday at 7 PM British Standard Time. Today's Speedball 2 tournament is starting in three hours from when this is posted and you can watch it at https://twitch.tv/amigalive.
If you wish to sign up, feel free to visit https://amigalive.com/gametime and enter your information on the registration form. Next month's game is Sierra Soccer and we will be voting on August's game during that tournament. We are bound by latency and the games will be hosted in Europe so take that into consideration. US east coast is generally fine.
I've noticed that not many are aware of Amigalive and the possibility and ease of playing Amiga games with online multiplayer. Amigalive is a free and portable frontend for FS-UAE and all games are preconfigured - no hassle required. Just download the program from https://www.amigalive.com/download/ and make sure it can connect to the internet. If you notice your favourite game missing from the list, you can ask for it to be added on the Amigalive Discord. Please note though that there is a separate list for single player games. The list of games is already quite comprehensive.
Look forward to playing with and against you!

Subject: VSprite 16 pixel WordWidth=1 vs. Workbench HiRes pointer...?
Hi all!
I just wrote my first VSprite code (in C), using animtools.c (from AmigaOS docs: http://amigadev.elowar.com/read/ADCD_2.1/Libraries_Manual_guide/node03D0.html ). I've created a ViewPort and a View (PAL_MONITOR_ID), and it mostly works, sprite is displayed correctly - but only if Workbench mouse pointer (OS3.9) is set to "LowRes". When it's set to HighRes, sprite pixel data is somehow messed up, it looks as if VSprite->WordWidth = 1 is not respected (treated more like 2 = sprite is displayed 32 pixels wide, not 16, and/or weird/corrupt sprite pixels). Changing sprite pixel resolution (VideoControl(...VTAG_SPRITERESN...)) to 35NS or 70NS makes the sprite appear slim and long, but sprite pixel data is still wrong. Hardware sprites 0 and 1 should be "reserved"/untouched by my code (using animtools.c's "setupGelsSystem(...., 0xFC) - the "0xFC" is the "reserved" bitmask).
I wasn't able to fully test all setups (emulator), but I think this is an AGA-chipset thing (hires mousepointer?).
Anyway - how do I make my VSprite display correctly (16 pixels wide), regardless of Intuition mouse pointer? (And reset sprites to Intuition settings after use?)

Subject: Did anyone tried to install 3.2 on top of WBClassic?
Is that something possible or the update works only on unmodified 3.1 install? Since 3.2 remove the startup sequence and other files, what happens to apps like eagleplayer, that require specific system files to work? And how do you merge the startup sequence? The OS installer seems to just back up the original one

Subject: How do I get bootable workbench onto a SD card?
I have a CD32 with a Paravision SX1 expansion and ide to SD card adapter in the SX1. I’ve tried to follow online guides using Winuae to create a bootable image. But I’m stuck, there must be an easier way. What about a pre made image I can copy to the SD card?
