Just curious if there is any mechanical issue in using a 1000 floppy drive in a 600/1200.

The A1000 floppy drive seems to be the same size; is that the case? I am asking since I found one in my local pawn store (they seized hardware from a repair center I assume; and few of those are A1000 drives, although I have a 600 and a 1200.

Can I fit one of those A1000 drives in my 600/1200?

Just got WB 3.1 installed (Cloanta "Amiga Forever Classic Support" floppy disk version) on my Amiga, and I can't seem to get it to recognise the VGAOnly display mode.

The Amiga is booting from the CF card for sure (made a few changes and they persisted between hard resets). I made a copy of the VGAOnly driver on the Storage floppy, moved it to System\Devs\Monitors, renamed back to VGAOnly and rebooted. No VGA screenmodes appear when I launch System\Prefs\Screenmode.

The Amiga in question has a 3.0 ROM and other than the CF card (one from Amigakit with the pre-installed loader, but that kept returning an error code so I just installed manually by booting from floppy and installing to the existing empty 'System' partition on the card) is an entirely stock model.

Help me, Amigoid hivemind! What am I missing?

Anyone know the easiest way to check A500/A600 game disks on an A1200, I'm sure X-Copy has a disk check function, but is this 100% certified they may work on the other A500/A600 Amiga Computers?
