As there's no Amiga Forever for MacOS, I'm trying to get FSUAE up and running. I read in many places that the Amiga Forever Essentials would be the best way to get the kickstart ROM files. But I'm a bit lost now as to how to make them available to the emulator. Or is this not the way? Any other tips on gettin Amiga emulation up on MacOS without resorting to bootcamp are also welcome. Thanks!

Subject: Does anyone have a count of the demos and games converted in WHDLoad format, versus the ones available only as ADF?
Just curious to get an idea about how much has been converted in WHDLoad format, compared to what is only available in ADF format.
WHDLoad is much more practical, so I want to get an idea about what has been converted, and what should I keep as ADF, since it hasn't been converted yet

Hello Amigafans,
I'm trying to locate two games I played in my youth with friends. They had an Amiga IIRC.
I've not managed to find the games using Google, as what I recall about them is quite vague
I've already posted separately about the first.
The second was a vertical scrolling racing game about which I remember:
- it could be played two player
- red car vs blue car
- the soundtrack was very cool
- the scenery included some desert / rocks, and perhaps a tarmac bridge?
If anyone knows what this game was, do let me know.

The first was a left > right scrolling spaceship shooter. The only thing I remember about it was that a ship or character was called "Stinger 2"
If anyone knows what this game was, do let me know.

Let me know if this isn't allowed here.
I have an Amiga 3000 25Mhz, no hdd, no mouse but does have keyboard. It worked 10 years ago but the battery leaked and it needs repair. I wanted to keep it forever since I bought it new in 1992 and thought it was cool to have but I'm not going to fix it and if I say any different I'm just fooling myself. I hate to throw it out. If someone wants it I'm in N Texas and I'll donate to a serious commodore fan. If you want to pay shipping, I'll ship it to you too. I loved it in the day and always dream about going back but I need to get real.
Can send pics of the machine if needed but it's seriously just a stock A3000/25.

Subject: My Amiga 500 had a weird sticky note under the bottom hatch that I had to tape on as it doesn’t hold. Does anyone know what it means I didn’t do this!! I’ve now moved it to the top for people to see!
Subject: I have finished my Hired Guns Map Viewer. It lets fly or walk around any of the maps from the game and a few other test levels. It's very cool to have open while you're playing the game.

Hello. I decided to recap my Amiga 500+ motherboard. It was working bit sometimes took a few minutes to boot to the kickstart screen. I replaced the 1000uF capacitors and this seemed to cure the issue - the screen came up after about 5 seconds. Next I decided to replace all the 100uF 16V capacitors however all I could source was 100uF 50v capacitors which I read should be suitable. I ordered some PANASONIC EEUEB1H101S (Electrolytic Capacitor, 100 µF, 50 V, EB Series, ± 20%, Radial Leaded, 5000 hours @ 105°C) and went about removing all the 109uF Shoei capacitors and soldering in the new replacements. They were a little wider but fitted with little trouble. I check they were all the correct way round and seated then flush to the board. I then cleaned off any excess flux with IPA and then powered up the board only to be met with a green screen for a few seconds and then a reboot followed by another green screen. Caps lock lights up when pressed but only 6 times. I swapped the kickstart ROM for DiagROM and this initially boots to a black screen followed by red then green and then back to black. Should I put the old caps back in?

hey, I found someone asked this years ago on reddit, but he didn't seem to get a correct answer... I'm looking for the same demo, and searched the web and youtube like crazy, maybe someone can help today?
"Before the Amiga was released there were some demo videos around, like the bouncing red and white sphere. Does anyone remember one that showed exploring an alien desert planet, and finding an alien skull in the sand? " The "spaceships" computer then made a simulation based on the skull of what the creature might have looked like. I would really love to see that again...
