Subject: Importing an Amiga from Europe to US -- What are the challenges?
Hello, I'm thinking of getting an Amiga from the overseas for a couple of reasons: availability and price. The system was much more popular overseas and they often sell for a lot less than what they would here in the US.
That being said, what are some of the issues I could potentially be running when I use a European system in the US? I have Sony PVM monitors that support both PAL and NTSC. I would probably need a step down converter for power. Are there other challenges? I'm also not good with soldering, so ideally I would like the least amount of tinkering with the device.
Any info would be appreciated!

Subject: Looking for an RGB -> Scart Cable. Courier to South Africa.
I have ordered two different Amiga components from different European Countries. The one via postal service took 5 months and the one via courier took 2 weeks.
No I'm looking for a RGB to scart cable. Some eBay listings doesn't ship to SA, others that ship does so via postal service. Some online shops doesn't have in stock or they only use postal service.
I'm just looking for a recommendation that will be able to courier me the cable.

Just received a fully boxed 500 with monitor and external floppy. It already has the ram upgrade with battery removed.
How do i get software onto this? I have a usb floppy my my PC.
Or is there a way to convert the external floppy somehow?
I havnt used an Amiga in 30 years, so i'm pretty excited, but also don't want to tear the whole thing apart to replace the CPU to add storage.
Really just loooking for any tips or pointers on where to look for some good info on using this in 2021.
Thank you for any tips,
Split

Subject: Amiga 500 starter mint condition. What’s the average price they are going for these days? Complete set, in Australia :)
Subject: Pang - ending - thankfully, they did a good job with this port ending..
Hi guys.
I have an A1200 and a homeless 68060 processor I saved for when I could get a Warp 1260 card, which I'm not sure I'll ever see. I was wondering if that's even the best use of it now anyway. Should I wait for the ACA 1260 from Individual Computers, or should I be thinking of a TerribleFire 1260 which looks quite good. Perhaps there's something on the horizon I'm unaware of I should wait for. Any suggestions? What's the bests of this processor for my A1200 these days?

My Arduino floppy disk reader/writer solution (aka DrawBridge) to read/write Amiga disks from Windows, has an update (2.7) with loads of new features and support for HD disks (firmware 1.9.15).
All this work has fed back into my WinUAE work meaning that WinUAE (and soon Amiberry) will also support real HD disks in real-time. (HD support will also work for Greaseweazle too). I have been surprised how much this was wanted.
For anyone unfamiliar with all of this, I started this in 2017, and in July this happened: [RMC Commodore Amiga Floppy Breakthrough for All Emulation Fans]https://youtu.be/aJ0g7lQQVus
The official WinUAE will support this in v4.9 when it’s released via a plug-in (FloppyBridge) from my site. That plug-in gives you a few more options to increase speed.
