Subject: Amiga Public Domain disk archive
I've been slowly revisiting and reconstituting the games collection I once had back in the 80s/90s. There seem to be several easily accessible archived of commercial games but I can't find something equivalent for public discs/software. Am I just being dumb and doing poor googling?
What is the best way to find/search/access amiga PD software?

Subject: Help needed: A500 won't work with gotek drive
So, I've just bought my first Amiga with a DF0 selector, Gotek (Flash-Floppy) and the necessary cables. My plan is to first boot Workbench from the (DF0 selected) Gotek and put it on a real floppy. With everything plugged in, the amiga just shows the "insert WB 1.3" screen, no matter which number is selected or what's on the USB stick.
I now want to know:
-What files need to be on the USB stick
-Is Selector.adf really necessary, since I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet
-Could some wrong settings on the Gotek be the source of the problem? If yes, how do I change them (7-segment model)?
Any help is appreciated

Subject: A500 Restoration
Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Finally got my hands on a A500 after months of hunting and it's a goodie. Needs some restro work which I have started. Looking to see if my list of things i need to do and other stuff is on the right track.
Here is the (photo Album)[https://photos.app.goo.gl/2xn5xtjxM551m3Fu5] i have made of the progress so far, it's not up to date fully but you get the idea.
Things I've got/done so far:
- Brought new power supply for AU/NZ- Brought VGA upscaler- parts to make a cable to connect to the upscaler- Pulled apart and cleaned motherboard, case,RF shield and working on the keyboard- "Borrowed" a serial mouse i found at work
Things i need to get/do:
- Retrobrite case- Inspect/clean Floppy drive- Buy Null modem cable- Buy DD disks (i have a box of newer HD disks)- Make cable to connect to upscaler- Smoke test- Re-cap MB ?- Get expansion RAm out of the metal case to inspect.- Contact clean all connections
I think that's all i need to get going, i want to buy some workbench disks but i don't know what version of kickstart i have. That and if i can just make them might save some $$$.
What i want to do with my Amiga:
- Play games (obviously)- Connect it to BBS- Program/make games on it
If you reccommend anything, preferably an AU/NZ source if possible. I can make most things if i can source parts close by.
Thoughts? am i missing anything?

Subject: Searching for what I THINK was an amiga demo, but not sure
I was 6-10 years old when I saw, in a music store, which also sold amigas, a demo of a little girl holding a candle light and walking up to what I think was a Christmas eve fireplace. That is all I remember. Anyone know if this demo exists on the amiga, or if I am maybe mistaken? It took my breath awa as a child, I had seen nothing like it at the time. Would love to see it again out of nostalgia.

Subject: Any way to use pimiga on a real amiga 68K?
Just wondering if there is a "version" of pimiga that run on a real Amiga with a 68K?
Given that a bunch of graphic options are too heavy, I was wondering if at least is there a way to get the software and emulators to run on a real amiga. The games are the least of the concern since I already have WHDLoad on my CF card.
Pimiga is divided in different folders, which works on a Raspberry Pi but not much on a real Amiga from what I can tell :(
