I remember when the Amiga 500 came out, nobody could afford it, certainly my parents couldn't and I must have been 13 years old at the time. Most of us had (inferior) Atari 520ST/1040ST (E/F) and we all dreamed about the Amiga, not only because of games, but productivity applications were also another level. I kept my Atari until I could afford the cheapest PC I could find; and until now I had never owned an Amiga. I got my hands on a standalone Vampire (purists: I'm sorry this may not be considered a "real" Amiga, deepest apologies, I don't mean to offend here) and I really liked it, it just blew my mind, I even wish I could use this as my primary desktop (not quite yet, I'd need a few more things ported); I'm still a bit confused about the 3.2 vs 3.9 vs 4.0 and what would work best for me; i.e. I'm not even sure if 4.0 is 64 bits, and what versions of gcc are available. So here I am, contemplating the best architecture of all times, looking forward to learn about it, and find out what would work best for me. Questions to the community: where do I start, what are the next steps, and what pitfalls should I avoid? Thank you!

Does anyone know what I need to do to get the mouse working with Zeewolf?
I can left-click my mouse to start a mission, but the helicopter won't respond to my mouse movements at all. The keypad control works fine...

Subject: Did Commodore recall any ROMs or Disks for the 1.0 Easter Egg?
When they found the "We made the Amiga, Commodore F'd it up" message, I thought there was an attempt to recall some, but I can't find anything about that now! Does anyone know?
Thanks!

Subject: Amiga 500 rev6 - wanting to add chip and slow RAM!
Hi! I know this is a common question so I'm sorry! I'd like to try and get as much detail about how it all works!
So I acquired an Amiga 500 rev6. It's been a long ass time since I've had an Amiga. I upgraded the main board to 1MB chip ram and I'd like to mod an existing A501 expansion to support 512k slow RAM as well.
Now, I've seen plenty of people who have done this with some of the newer kits, but the instructions seem .. inconsistent. I'd like to understand the memory decode stuff a bit better between Gary and Agnus so I can figure out what sins I have to commit to do this myself. I've studied the schematics that are online and reminded myself of the memory map (wow it's been 20 years!) so I think I understand how the jumper settings work here. Just .. not how to do chip+slow ram together!
Thanks!

Subject: One of the worst games I played on the Amiga as a kid, anyone remember this?
Hello everyone. New Amiga 500 user here. I have an old Panasonic floppy drive that needs a recap. Did some research prior to posting, but I'm not sure if I can use any generic capacitors for the drive. Does it have to be the same type? And if so, does it matter which brand I use?
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

Couldn't figure out how to add test from my phone app.
So I am about to install it on a new cf card and wondered how much space should I give the system/wb drive?

Subject: Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe is a 1990 video game based on a violent futuristic cyberpunk sport that draws on elements of handball and ice hockey, and rewards violent play as well as goals. The original game was developed by Bitmap Brothers.
I currently have a water damaged motherboard and it is not working. it result in green screen.
it is with 512KB ram and i can see few jumpers modified from original. JP2 1 and 2 is soldered and JP7A is cut. i am not certain if that is cuasing the issue. also i am searching for where are the Data pins going from ram to check if there is data flowing to the chipset
