Been on this sub before wondering about this.
I'm really waffling about what to do --as I really want to try turning on my 2500 for the first time in, oh, about 15 years I guess. I'm eyeballing the motherboard plus components, and I don't see any leakages...which is why I'm tempted.
I don't know. What's the worse case scenario here? There's a Video Toaster in it, a TBC card, and a digitizing sound card.
I'm near San Diego if there's anyone nearby willing to offer your expertise.

It's been some times since I've last tested it but I've once won an auction for 2 boxed amiga games which were Lemmings and Zool, Lemmings worked when I tested it, but with Zool, at one point when I got to a Zool splash screen, the disk drive stop running and the game refuses to load, same thing happens with the second disk, can you help me out, I'm using a Amiga 500 by the way

Hi - any recommendations on the cheapest way to get a keyboard/mouse working with a NTSC CDTV? I don't currently have an Amiga mouse or external keyboard so starting at ground zero. :)

Subject: Questions about Amiga AGA chipset capabilities and a possible display system for games.
Hi all.
I have some questions about the AGA chipset and its capabilities. If anyone provides any info, I'll be much obliged.
1) can the AGA blitter do 1280 image blits within a frame? assuming 50 frames per second, 320x256 resolution, each image i 8x8 pixels, 8 bitplanes, single playfield.
I am asking this because I want to write a display library for games that emulates block displays.
2) would the following setup be possible at 50 frames per second? at each frame:
a) the 68020 CPU computes the next frame copper list in fast ram (as well as driving the gameplay); when it finishes computing the new copper list, it copies the list to chip ram, for the next frame.
b) the copper processes the current copper list by the cpu, driving the blitter to do the blits mentioned in 1st question, in order to emulate a block display; when the next frame comes, the copper will process the new copper list prepared in the previous frame by the cpu.
I think that if the above setup is possible, then it will maximize performance between the cpu, the blitter and the copper: the cpu will not have to wait for the blitter to finish, the copper can wait for the blitter to finish without any overhead, and even the nasty bit can be activated (shutting off the cpu from accessing the blitter) during the copper processing for even faster processing.
Thanks in advance for any info on the above; it's hard to find information like the above on the AGA chipset.
