Subject: Anyone need any Amiga bits?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Anyone need any Amiga bits?

Some Amiga bits for sale if anyone is interested.

I got an amiga 2000 keyboard (i can't test it as it is a different plug to the 4000)

https://preview.redd.it/a0izkkw2pk991.png?width=4032&format=png&auto=webp&s=04eae57e3222d5b1fcf3c44f3a6930acb5014455

Also got n Emplant card (apple emulator) for the Amiga 2000 /3000 /4000.

https://preview.redd.it/b7wosi69pk991.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=e4e79e433d3057232def53faf2c9bf8946a4182a

My dad passed away and these were part of his stuff. The amiga 4000 will be for sale soon too (it works i just need to set i all up again).

I cant test the Emplant as i have no software for the Amiga anymore (i got to put a drive in it and set it all up again) but it does boot up ok with the Emplant card in.

I am looking for £150 (GBP) for the Amiga 2000 keyboard (these are going for £200 + on the bay) and £200 for the Emplant (seen 2 go on the bay sold for £219 and £249 recently)

I have them listed on the bay too (listed today), but if anyone want them on here i can take them off there.

Any questions, happy to answer

Subject: random celebs that used amigas

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

there's the more obvious ones like Andy Warhol, any other examples, the ones i like are people who just messed about on theirs.

In the UK i remember this album was made on an amiga 2000 with Octamed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=480zwiuM8xs&list=PL778A10BF1171A3C4&index=6

Kanye got his interest on an amiga as well but look at this music master https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MOcggCf2W8 mr tony hawks haha - thats more interesting than all the rest!

Subject: Is PAL 50Hz the proper speed for most or all Amiga games?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Whereas console games seem to almost all be optimized for 60Hz and the 50Hz PAL versions are slowed down, it seems like for Amiga, the PAL versions would be the native and proper game speed and the 60Hz NTSC versions are sped up, right? Should I go for PAL versions of games? Any games where the 60Hz NTSC version is the proper game speed, or any way to play 60Hz NTSC versions at proper speed?

Subject: Amiga 1200 Keyboard to Raspberry Pi GPIO Pins

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I loved the concept of the Bare Metal C64 PCB where you can hook up a Commodore vic-20/64 keyboard to the Pi's GPIO Pins.

what I'm hoping if it was possible to connect the Amiga 1200's keyboard and most of the hardware to the Pi's GIPO Pins just like the Bare Metal C64 that works with the GIPO.

This also needs to work with Amibian or the standard Pi OS if you make it amiga OS inspired that it loads up the GIPO Pins on startup for the hardware of the Amiga's keyboard.

What GIPO Pins must be connect so the Pi can talk to the Amiga 1200's keyboard so it works with any layout?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I remember playing an amiga game when I was a child but I can’t recall the name. I need help

Basically these are the points that I remember:

1) each level has a monster as big as half ta screen 2) i command a space shuttle around the borders of the screen. 3) i have to cut quadrants from the main screen by my space shuttle to restrict the monster’s space 4) i’m safe around the borders but when im on the monster’s space I can be hit 5) monster dies when I take enough space

Subject: How much is an Amiga 500 worth?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I live in Australia and some of the asking prices ($600 +) for a A500 in an unknown condition seem a lot. Is the Amiga actually that collectable now?

Subject: Need help to find an old photo

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I look for a photo, I first saw it on my old A500: a girl in a blue swimsuit lying on a blue inflatable mattress. The photo itself is absolutely not sexist or pornographic at all, maybe it was taken at a fashion shoot. If anyone recognizes it and knows where it can be downloaded, I would appreciate it.

Subject: Amiga CD32 release date list

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

I've been trying to compile a list of all Amiga CD32 games in release date order. I like to play through games on a system sequentially to see how they changed and evolved.

In the case of the Amiga CD32 this is a complicated task for a number of reasons. The CD32 is basically an Amiga 1200 computer, so many games were simple ports to the CD format. This means that most of the time only the 1200 release date has been recorded. Additionally the CD32 was released in Europe, Australia, Canada, and Brazil, so release dates get confused and certain obscure games were only ever released in one country.

Some games were released multiple times for different compilations. I have tried to include these as many games were released for the first time on the console in compilations.

In desperation I have combed through the availble magazine scans on the amazing website Hall of Light. I have then listed the games by the order of their first review month. This is obviously not an exact science because some magazines will get early review copies, and some games release dates slip even after being reviewed. Amiga CD32 Gamer seemed to review games earlier than Amiga Power and Amiga Format, but they were also more devoted to the console than those magazines. The German magazines Datormagazin and Amiga Joker also seemed to get games earlier as well.

I took this game list from Wikipedia, but Hall of Light lists even more games. It would be great to include fan made releases as well, but for now I have stuck to officially released games.

Anyway here is the first draft of my list. If you have any corrections please let me know!

Subject: Can you name this game using my "whistled music"?

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi everybody,

this may be the dumbest question I've ever asked on the internet. A little song came up in my head and I tried to make it in a whistle here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0b_P5fVmY5E

Can you tell me the name of the game?

If I'm not mistaken it should be a soccer game.

Thank you!!
