Subject: protracker 2 vs protracker 3
I've been using protracker lately (the 2.3d clone from 16-bits.org) which is great because I don't have to set up an emulator for it and all that stuff.
I was wondering though are there any new features worth setting up an emulator for in protracker 3 or should I just stick with the convenience of the native 2.3d port?.
Subject: Prospective buyer needing some help.
Hello all, I am a game collector who just discovered that Amiga existed last night when I was presented an opportunity to purchase this lot for $200. I am interested in buying this but I'm not sure what things I should be looking for when inspecting it in person. It's from a thrift shop so the seller doesn't have any more info other than it powers on. Any tips or suggestions on what I should do/check for in person to verify it is game ready? Also, anyone familiar with the games shown? I can only make out the names of a handful.

Subject: MegaTraveller Save Game Issue - MiSTer
Random question. Not sure if anyone can help with this one. I tried to play MegaTraveller in WHD load on my MiSTer. The game crashes when I try to enter the starship in the beginning. I was able to save games with the WHDLoad version of the game, but cannot continue past the beginning. I downloaded the ADF files and it allowed an HD installation. I installed it to one of my mounted drives, and that went well. I started a game, created some characters, everything was going ok. I was even able to enter the ship without a random crash. The problem with this is if I save a game it does not show up in the load game list. I see that it did create the save game files with the names I gave the saves, but they do not show up in game Has anyone run in to something like this or have any ideas?

I've no idea why this error is happening, but as you can see the imported image has some color different than the image in deluxe paint.

Subject: Looking for a cpu solution for A4000T
Hello everyone, I have a mostly complete A4000T, which is missing the cpu card. My question: are there any cpu solutions out there for this? They seem to be quite scarce and I have had no luck finding one. The system was gifted to me a few years ago and I would really like to get it up and running. I have an A500 and a couple of A1200's and there are lots of solutions for those, but I haven't seen much for a A4000. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Subject: Bloodwych, 30+ years on
I've been itching to play this for a VERY long time, but any ADF version I got always corrupted the save file somehow. It was only recently that the game popped up in my mind again and I remembered that save-states are a thing. So yesterday I installed FS-UAE on my Ubuntu box and set about raiding the keep on my 42" TV!
So many memories, particularly of maybe a free demo of the game where you couldn't leave the start area, me and one of my brothers would just hang out there pretending that various rooms were shops and houses. Same brother and I would eventually complete the two player campaign, and my other brother would do so single player. I still have in a box somewhere the hand-drawn maps I made.
So after two hours of gameplay I've fought some crabs and am about to take on a room full of skeletons, I'm loving it. Already on level two and pumping out the spells.
Question: was communicating actually useful outside recruiting and trading? We only used it to distract monsters while the other player attacked from behind - can you really trade with them? Bribe them not to attack you etc?
Seems to me that the game was incomplete, or their ambitions exceeded the 512k memory target (e.g. the start area was probably supposed to look like a village etc) and it could have done with some more RPG elements, NPCs and plots to round it off. Interestingly the game that reminded me about Bloodwych is an obscure Nintendo DS game called "mazes of fate" that I nearly re-started , which has all of those elements

Subject: Looking to have an NTSC amiga - best option?
I would LOVE to have an Amiga 1200, but OMG I feel like I'd have to spend at least $1000 to have my dream come true. What am I missing if I opt to buy an Amiga 600 and soup it up instead? I had an amiga 600 during college, but would love to own a soup'ed up amiga again.
p.s. should I look for NTSC amigas? I live in NYC
