Hey friends ! i've a question for you !

I found an emulator to play my favourite childhood game again: Genesia!
I have a problem, I have the WHDLoad file found on a website (Unfortunately I don't have anything from that time).
The game launches without any problem, I get directly to the screen for the selection of the number of players, map, etc... but I have no slider to change these options. When I left click the mouse, a black screen appears asking me to insert disc 1 (i try with the English and french rom).
I'm very surprised because normally with WHD there is no such problem and when I insert one of the 3 discs, nothing happens.
Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

there any interesting hacks that make something you find irritating,in the os usable?

What are your specs now? reasons for choosing that hardware( usually availability)

or maybe add a fantasy 'feature' that could be possible?

I have been looking for the old magazines for Amiga, and found a ton of scan in PDF format. Those are OK on a regular monitor, although the quality is really bad since they are just scan of the magazine exported as PDF, and not proper text and images.

Is there any repository that has high quality PDF or even better, EPUB versions of those old magazines? We worry so much about preserving software history but at times I feel that magazines do not receive the same treatment... Reading an old magazine on a e-reader like a kindle is something that would be a nice to have, instead of looking at scanned pages (which are good to a point, but could be better).

Paid or free I am fine with it; I looked at the official websites and sadly found not much beside the scanned PDF which seems to be what everyone has.

One of the games that defined my childhood was Elvira 2: in the jaws of cerberus. I was always wondering what spell like Unseen shield exactly do or how much damage fireball does etc. with is not displayed in game or manual, so i was thinking this must be in code somwhere.

If reading those stats from code is doable could somebody explain to me general idea where to begin with this if this? I dont even know where to find code to read i have some pkd .info and slave files downloaded

Hello, Not sure if anyone here knows, but I have been modding my Gotek. I bought these rotary encoders from amazon. I tried to wire them up, however, the rotary portion does not work. It detects the click of the encoder, but that's it. I believe I have the Gotek with the newer board in it. I watched a youtube video about setting these up on the newer boards, and tried to match the setup used in the video, but it did not work. The rotary encoders used in the video were a different type. Does anyone know if the type I am using will work? If so, how do you wire them up?

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem, I can't find it after a search online. And apologies if this is the wrong place to post this question.

FS-UAE Launcher loads fine, I have it and the FS-UAE directory adjacent to each other.

When I click 'start' I get the message 'Running Emulator', but then nothing.

When I check the logs I can see that the launcher found the FS-UAE executable without a problem, but it doesn't seem to start.

Any advice? Last time I used FS-UAE I was able to download both it and the launcher from the Mint software repository, but the launcher isn't available there any longer. :,(
