Subject: Looking for an animation/cinematic

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello all,

I'm looking for an animation, we call them now "cinematic", of a jet fighter, flying over mountains, firing a missile, something I watched on a monitor of a computer shop centuries ago!

I was so amazed by the quality.

I'm sure it was running on Amiga, not sure if the fighter was a F-14 Tomcat, but overall the animation was very detailed for the time, despite being 2D.

If anyone could help me finding information/video about that, I'd really appreciate that!
Thanks in advance.

Subject: Best practice for putting files on a CF Drive hard drive

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

As it's an internal CF drive, I dont really want to open it up to drag files onto it and reformat the drive each time, what's the best practice for putting programs on there? I've got a gotek in the machine, is it best to load images from there and save to them over? Just trying to get my head around the workflow

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Have fond memories of this. Spent way too many hours on this.

https://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=3974

Not many people remember it, though, presumably as it was on a demo disk as shareware. Does anyone else remember this? Does anyone remember completing it?

Subject: Need some help to access to ftp using AmiTCP 4.0 (demo)

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hello,

The only way I have to transfer anything to my Amiga is through its network using AmiTCP 4.0 Demo from an FF disk.

I'm able to ftp to it from Linux but only using anonymous user. If I'm trying to logon as my username (which is used to logon on AmiTCP), it's failling :

ftp> open miga.chez.moi

Connected to miga.chez.moi.

220 miga.chez.moi FTP server (Version 5.60 (Amiga version 1.2) ) ready.

Name (miga.chez.moi:laurent):

500 'AUTH TLS': command not understood.

500 'AUTH SSL': command not understood.

SSL not available

ftp> user laurent

530 User laurent access denied.

Login failed.

Obviously, laurent is part of db/ftpuser as well.

Thanks

Subject: DOM and Amiga

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi, I'm trying to use a 4Gb 40 pin PQI on my Amiga 1200. I have built a male/male 40 pin ide adapter, cause the DOM has a female IDE connector. A1200 with 1230 030 32meg, Kick 3.0, WB 3.0 with a LOT of modding that I made 25/30 years ago.. On my A1200 ide port there is IdeFix '97 installed with 1 HDD and 1 removable HDD on the 1st channel, a Zip100 and a CDRom on the 2nd channel. Everything works fine, even the Mac formatted HD if I put it in the removable cradle. First attempt was connecting the DOM at the 2nd port of the 1st IDE channel (in the removable cradle). Not recognised. Second attempt was connecting directly, without male/male adapter, to the 1st port of the 2nd IDE channel. Same as above, so at least I know that the problem is not adapter related. Both HD Toolbox and SCSI Toolbox cannot see anything but the 1st HD (the one that I use for the boot). DOM is in working conditions, if I put it on the 2nd IDE channel of an old Pentium-something with Windows 7, it is recognised... I don't have a working floppy drive, I'm waiting for the delivery of a new one, so I will try connecting it to the 1st port of the 1s channel and launch HD Toolbox from a floppy booted Workbench. Did I miss something? Best regards

Subject: Transfering samples to ProTracker via GOTEK

[Reply] [ReplyQuoted] [Headers] [Print]

Hi everyone! I was exploring the music-making world on the Amiga and wondering, could I somehow transfer some samples to the ProTracker via a GOTEK drive? I don't see how it couldn't work because you open the sample disk via GOTEK and every sample from my PC should be there... it would save everyone lots of money. Do you guys think it would work?

was thinking of having a 3 or 2 button fight stick, where one button is always Fire1, another is UP and another is Fire2, and a turbo switch...

I have 0 expierence with things like this but i was wondering where would be a good place to start in finding a case or an existing joystick i can rewire?
