Does anyone have any insight on the use of Assign and WHLoad? Is one better than the other? Two totally different purposes?

Background: I made two assignments in my startup-sequence for WordPerfect and Noise Tracker because I could not figure out a way to set them up so they would not look for the floppy. The result is great, but I can’t help but wonder if it was the right way to deal with it. Not sure how many resources a ton of assignments would take up.

I used HSTWbinstaller to setup my Microsd using WinUAE. My A1200 has 2MB chip ram and 128Mb fast ram. I burned the .hdf image to a microsd card to run on my A1200. When I used winuae config file I can run AGA games fine but when I run on my real A1200 it crashes or get s black screen. Non AGA games run fine. I do have a microbotics accelerator in my a1200 also.
