![]() | An Amiga 1200 made it into the NYC MoMA :) It’s part of a piece of art called Information America (https://www.moma.org/collection/works/419367). Not quite sure what its role is though. [link] [comments] |
Does anyone know where I can purchase a Raspberry Pi model B. My Pistorm lite for the Amiga 1200 just arrived and to complete the upgrade I need the Raspberry Pi. I want to avoid ebay and right now I seen one from Amazon for about 100 US Dollars. Is that too much to pay? I know there has been some talk about chip shortages but enough is enough of that already.

Hi fellow Amiga fans. (TLDR; being let down with missed deadlines by Steve at Retropassion UK, any input welcome).
I bought an A1200 after many years of wanting one. I decided to send it to retropassion UK for preventative re-cap, clean, install of a CF card and. TF1230. The website looked nice and the communication with Steve at the quote stage was good. I packaged it up and sent it down to get the work done. It all seemed the right thing to do.
I was advised that the workload already in pipeline would take all of February so mine would get looked at after that. Since then I've only received updates when I chase and get a reply to some emails and not others. I've then been advised "finished in next two weeks" I then chased up after 1.5 weeks after the two weeks was up and was then advised delays and will be completed by end of that week (which was last week). I've messaged a couple of times since to ask if it was completed last week and when I could expect it but no replies.
I'm aware working on old electronics can be trickier and slower than expected but each delay and the lack of responses and failing to manage my expectations is tiring.
I could draw out an exact time line if it helped. But has anyone else got any faith I'll ever get my Amiga back completed? If anyone has a phone number for him please PM me. Thanks fellow Amiga nuts.

Subject: My V4SA setup with mechanical keyboard. Finally got an Amiga set up in the main computer room!
Subject: Process of turning an old pc into a video toaster
I recently learned what a video toaster was and watched a few youtube videos about them and they seem so cool! Is there a way to install some sort of amiga software onto an old pc? then get the video toaster software installed on it.
How would you be able to go about getting the different video inputs into the computer?
Is this all even possible?

I have a legit Amiga Forever with the appropriate workbench roms for my actual hardware. However, those roms are modified to not work on a real system.
I have an eprom burner and have had zero luck with the roms from AF.
Do I have to buy one of the chips on eBay to upgrade my A500?

Subject: Could an Amiga emulator take different video inputs?
I am interested in emulating an amiga on an old pc in order or run video toaster software. I know that the original amiga uses s graphics card with video inputs. If you used something like this could you use the software like how you would normally be able to? It seems so hard to track down any of the original stuff and I’m trying to find a way to be able to use the software.

Subject: [GER/ENG] Free Amiga/PC Game: " Beneath a Steel Sky"
Hello, first off a disclaimer: I have close to zero knowledge about the Amiga. My brother owned an Amiga 600 when we were younger and I played on it (and used X-Copy :P) but that‘s about it. So please bear with me if I have fundamentally wrong ideas how things on the Amiga work. So, here goes my post:
I am thinking about starting to make music on the Amiga (or an Amiga emulator for now) and I have multiple questions :-)
- I don‘t have massive experience with trackers, but I made some songs with LSDJ, so what is the best tracker on the Amiga to get into easily?
- Which is a good Emulator to use with an Amiga tracker?
- Is the Amiga A500 mini capable of running a tracker?
- are there any other things i should be aware of, tricks and tips, links to tutorials or anything else you can give me?
Thank you in advance!

I am looking to use the video toaster software as a way to add effects to videos that I have. I'm not necessarily looking to run actual cameras into it, moreso just input mp4 files or something among those lines and use the transitions between them, as well as whatever other effects to kinda of stage the videos together as some sort of show from back in the day.
Is it possible to emulate the video toaster software with an old pc? I saw Discreet FX opentoaster but since I 'm new to all of this I wasn't really sure what I was looking at with it. If it is possible to emulate this, is it possible to have it use files as video sources instead of actual camera footage?

Subject: Having issues loading/playing mod files on my amiga 500
Hey all, Im looking to play mod files on my A500 with protracker 2.3. My setup is a stock A500, 1.2rom, and a gotek drive setup as DF0, original floppy drive set as DF1. I used ADF Opus to put mod files on my usb stick, but they dont appear on workbench. I've also tried finding them on the DF0 directory through protracker, only to find info/config files. Could someone please help an amiga noob out?

![]() | I have very fond memories of the original Settlers game. Depth, extremely cute characters, iconic pig grunts, and a soundtrack where me and my buddy made up odd lyrics about fishermen planting trees. It spawned a franchise, and to this day, the original formula still has not been beat. “Long live the fighters!” [link] [comments] |
Got a usb stick online and everything seemed to be working fine but when I exit a game (syndicate) to the menu to save, the a500 mini menu freezes and I cant get back into any games, the only way to unfreeze it is to turn the console off and back on again.
I've downloaded and replaced the whd loaded files, which fixed a corrupted file
I've also got a corrupted save game file on Lords of the realm, how do I delete this save game manually as again I can't delete it from the a500 menu?
Where are saved games stored?
Many thanks

Subject: Is there a way to read Final Writer files from Amiga on Windows 10?
I have a host of Final Writer files and no Amiga to read them.
Is there an emulator that can run on Windows 10 anywhere?
Or, alternatively, could someone take on the files, save them as txts and send them back to me please?
