I own a rev 5 a500 and an a1200 (that needs repairs and will be better soon hopefully). I am getting into Gotek I think as it seems like a neat way of accessing software. What would be better given my limited technical skills: internal (would need 2) or external (use external gotek on both machines)? For external, if I want to play games, that would require a boot sector on both amigas, am I right? What’s the simplest solution here?

P.O.W. is a lightgun shooter heavily influenced by Operation Wolf. It is probably one of the first video games I have played in my childhood. Throughout several levels, you will be fighting soldiers, aircrafts, tanks. You will try to protect a fellow soldier as he climbs the radio station. It is intense and you will really feel like Rambo when playing P.O.W. The graphics and sound are quite good for a game made in 1988. The main problem with the game is its difficulty. It’s extremely unforgiving. I could manage to go through levels using save states, but without them I don’t see how I could even come close to beating it. If you are planning to give it a try, make sure to use save states.
6.5/10

Subject: Moonstone: what makes the game become more difficult?
I was just attempting to finish Moonstone as I never beat the game as a child, and I noticed that at some point I was having to fight two enemies at the same time (Trolls & Troggs).
They stunlocked me a few times and then I saw the familiar "Game Over" screen again. Just like old times.
I vaguely remember that there is something that causes this increased difficulty. Was it getting better equipment (even just a better sword?), leveling your stats (str / con / end), or is it something else?

Hi,
I recently got a Amiga 2000HD from our local town swap shed. I've been working with my dad on it and we got it to the "load workbench disk" screen, and since we didn't find any disks for it I was wondering where I could get/buy some.
Thanks alot :)

Fellow Amigans! If you're a fan of CDTV, you're very welcome to take a sneak peak at my newly launched website CDTV Land (https://cdtvland.com). There's not a lot of content yet, so it's really more of a soft launch atm, but that shouldn't spoil the fun. Besides writing original content, I also like to make sure there's enough original visual content. A lot of the pictures on the site are my own photos or 3D renders. I hope you'll like it!
I also noticed that there was no CDTV sub yet, so I created one at r/CommodoreCDTV. It's just so wrong that Philips' CD-i had its own sub, but CDTV didn't. ;-)

Hi!
I have a Trident 8900 ISA VGA 16bit board. I'm trying to get it to work with the A2286, which is also working by itself. All I get are weird screens on the A2000's primary display in both mono and color emulator modes, and nothing happens on the VGA screen. (I'm trying to get a VGA output, it seems the monitor I'm connecting to doesn't even detect a signal). Messing around in PCPrefs isn't really doing anything for me.
I see a lot of setting options on the trident for jumpers like 8/16 bit mode, wait states, IRQ, etc. I have expanded the board to 16-bit slots on the two 8 bit slots - I am trying it in the original 16 bit slot that the board had in case I messed something up there. I have gotten an 8 bit SB pro clone to work from dos though, so I don't think it's that.
Any advice?
Thanks!

I recently purchased 8, but got an email about a free upgrade which is nice.

Email also included this link for discounted C64 & Amiga Forever bundle for $19.95
I do NOT work for Cloanto or get any commission of any kind, I just wanted to share. Unfortunately I sold my hardware decades ago so I am just doing emu now.

I posted earlier about this, and I think an official post will be made. But I made a mistake of sharing a link that was meant to be private. I had to delete the post. I apologise from Cloanto to and everybody else who were affected by my mistake. I wanted nothing but to support Cloanto and Amiga Forever platform. Anyways, have a fantastic day. :)

Hi Folks
I bought one of those 8MB trapdoor memory expansions for my A1200.
It says that it increases the speed of the computer by about 2 times.
But how does it do that when its just a memory expansion? And will I see 3D games actually running any faster?

Subject: PiMiga 1.5 on a Raspi 400 - This is brilliant, even the form factor just screams "Amiga 1200". I'm in love.
Subject: Unpopular Opinion: The Amiga A500/A600/A1200 keyboards feel terrible to type on
First off I love Amiga computers as much as anyone and my A600/AA1200 are great machines.
But recently I decided for fun to type up a letter using my A1200 and Wordsworth. I came to the realisation that the keyboards are really not that nice to use. Compared to even a cheap membrane IBM keyboard from the mid to late 90s.
Maybe the A2000/A4000 keyboards were better?

Just wondering if the Vampire V4 (standalone) is actually worth it or just stick to the Raspberry Pi 4 emulator.
Thoughts?
