Subject: A600HD hard drive (broken?) spins up but fast clicking sequence
Hard drive inside an old A600HD seems broken, I'm considering my options (try to repair, take it out). It will spin up but a sequence of fast clicking sounds can be heard (I think the sequence returns two or three times) and then it will access df0: for booting. No idea what may be on the drive. It does not show up in WB. What would you do?

I remember playing this back in the day. It was similar in ways to Speedball and Future Basketball but 2v2. It was a sci-fi sports setting where you had to shoot a ball into the other teams goal. It was kind of robot/android themed from memory. You played as a pair with your team mate controlled by AI against another AI pair. The cool thing from it I remember was that when you won a match, you could choose to replace your team mate with one of the players from the duo you just beat, the AI would get better as you progressed along a list of portraits of the teams you'd come up against. I remember eventually beating it. Anyone know the name? Cheers.

I'm trying to find a game, I thought it was called welltrix, but after a Google it apparently isn't!
It was in a isometric view and you dropped blocks of land down to make wells, then you'd get water dropping down to fill the wells!
Thanks!

Tldr: my long lost amiga has resurfaced and I don't know what to do with it. Also sorry I am on mobile.
My parents have sold their house and while packing up they found my old amiga 600 in the loft minus the power adapter, joysticks, mouse and any software.
I'm scratching my head about what to do with it, I don't really feel like sticking it on ebay sold as seen or spares and repairs. It did work fine the last time I used it but that was over 10 years ago. But I don't have any way of checking if its dead now or not.
I am looking for some ideas. Do I annoy the missus by blowing my money replacing the bits that are missing and do a bit of a restoration job on it? Do I give it a new brain with a raspberry pi and make it into a retro emulation machine? (something I have done before with a broken ps1 from ebay)
I thought it had gone missing/accidentally got left behind during a house move so it is a bonus it turning up even if it has nothing with it so I would like to get some enjoyment out of it in some way shape or form again.
Has anyone else been in a similar predicament?

Subject: Running Amiga OS on G5 Power Mac? (noob quetions)
So, I'm an developer and over over the last decade I have worked on Linux, Windows and occasionally Mac. But I have never used an Amiga pc and I've been always curious.
After some very light digging, the Amiga OS requires a PowerPC architecture (instead of the now more common Intel x86). Could it be possible to run Amiga 4 on G5 Power Mac (or an older model)?

Hey guys. I assume most of you know what IRC is since obviously you come from the generation of systems which are now retro, which is also when IRC was all the rage. Would you care to join our channel on LunarIRC? We also have a site which is though still in beta stage, but we are working on it.
Server: irc.lunarirc.net
Channel: #retrobytes
All retro systems are welcome!

Subject: Finally I have an 1200 again. Newly recapped (organic polymer) and a new keyboard membrane. Need more work, like Gotek, 030, 32 or 64 mb Ram, Scandoubler and so on.... Well. At least I have an 1200 again for the first time since 2006.
Hello, Im looking to make a hdf file of my old 2500 hard drive. Its a 50 pin SCSI drive and I'm having trouble finding the right converter for it to interface with the PC. My idea was that I could plug the hard drive into a IDE/SATA to usb converter that i bought off amazon and copy it through UAE or Amiga Forever, that was until i found out the 2500 drive was SCSI.
My goal is to run a hdf copy through the mister, i have some old Jack Nicklaus courses my brother and I made so it has alot of nostalgia for me.
